If you drive a Jeep everyday on road, you'll know why it need to be comfortable.

You've got to drive a jeep with some silly tyres and then the Yoko MT tyres to understand what a comfortable jeep is!:Shockked:

Maybe he meant the association of jeeps and roughing it out, but he needs to be in one to understand what that comfort is?

No, his statement implied that Jeeps are supposed to be uncomfortable. But in reality, most of us drive the Jeep 90% of the time on regular roads at higher speeds. If the ride is bumpy at higher speeds, one can get very fatigued, very fast. I have first hand experience of how 300Kms of bad roads totally drained me while 700kms of good road didn't.
Wait, you are in Tamilnadu, you probably encounter bad roads very rarely unlike me.:)
i have yoko geolanders now. Its ready to be changed. So looking for good M/Ts. Getting good Indonesian M/Ts here in Bangalore . Thought of changing to that. Wanted to know how much of a problem it will be to drive this on Road. The size is 235/75 R 15. Since we will have to drive the jeep to reach OTR places and also to drive the jeep in the city have to consider this aspect also. If its very very uncomfortable then I will have to go for A/T tyres

I'm really sorry if I gave that impression. I made that statement based on my exposure to jeeps and not a judgement of any sort regarding jeeps. My rides in jeeps have been during lots of jungle safari's and visits to friends native villages in the interiors of MP. And they have all been fun and very eventful, that's why my association of jeeps with rough and tumble :)
Guys was just browsing through on the tyres and found a following site where you can find good 4 x 4 Tyres, but this is a UK site you can get a good idea -
4x4 Tyres :: The Ultimate 4x4 Tyre Website ::
This was done as i was planning for a good set of tyres for my Safari on the rock & sandy roads.
saw these on a willys. Really like these rims. Do anyone know the brand and where to source these sort of rims for a jeep??
Anyone put tubeless on the standard 16" army rims ?
Were any issues encountered ?

There are pics of Yoko Geolanders on army rims. These are tubeless and are on Army rims. The only issue encountered, with mounting the rims is that the you have to procure a big nozzle for the tyres.
That should be it in my opinion.
Thanks Harjeev.
So you going to use the army rims with Geolanders ?
Hi Bigman/Harjeev,
probably me too!!!! I will check the possibility of putting Mich/Yoko/BFGs on my stock Army rims. Tubeless offcourse!!!
If anyone has good experience on this , pls let us know.
Tarkesh
Hi Guys,
I picked up new shoes for my Jeep, The Maxxis Big Horn 275/70/R16.
Here are some pics of the same.
Cheers !!!!!!
Man, those are some really mean looking tires, will surely give a more aggressive stance to your jeep and superb offroad qualities too. :)
wow, nice tyres, should see how they perform in slush and sand..nice thread pattern!clap:
