drmessiah,
This 70 year old has passion and it shows in the upkeep of his Jeep. The body fabrication is a good job, especially the doors and their angle. Surely the rear door glass cannot roll down, can the front?
Rare, indeed with a full hard shell.

Regards,
The body has been fabricated by m&m, I am sure the mahindra gurus can confirm, if the information I have is right. The glass both in front and back cannot be rolled down as you rightly said, but it can be slided sideways. I have seen a few of this jeep. But this is a very good example.

A jeeper will be a jeeper always..this another perfect example but by an younger gentleman of course 70 years of age and driving a MM then he must be a real enthusiast, any pics of the owner.

Coming to the jeep someone said the body built by M&M then I have few queries and am sure jeep gurus will answer.

1. Why this particular shape/design was selected?
2. How is the air circulation inside when the windows doesn't roll down?
3. Why are the vents cut out on the bonnet which is unique from all jeeps

regarding the air circulation the front glass can be rolled down and the back door the glass cab be slided sideways. Looks like there is adequate air circulation in side the cabin. With regards to the air vents on the bonnet, I have no idea.

Correct , I think the man knows about his machine , everything in place & seems practical nothing more than that , I like this style no hoo haa just a simple mean looking practical Jeep , great .

Well , you will surely see that here by a member too , after just 20 + years . Am I right Fazlsaab ? & to be followed by another soon after him

Passion knows no age , one gets ripe as days pass by,

BTW I don't see the body is made by MM , the registration is too old for that , those were the days when people used to cut & stretch the 80" WB Jeeps for more room , unlike now .

A few pages back you can see my Jeeps pics (MVL 5882 ) , its a 1989 model ,IMHO it was the first attempt by M&M to give a 5 door steel body Jeep 'Under Company's Stamp '

Clean body except a dent in the rear running board. What's the price? Do you intend to restore him immediately? Any engine swap planned?

Hi Nikhil,

I see there are many jeeps in photo, any idea if they are available too. I tried to find auctions of police vehicles in pune but no luck.

Let me know if you have any idea.

Thanks,
vishal.

Hey Nikhil,

Congrats on the purchase. What is that vehicle which is seen to the left of your Armada in the first pic? Couldn't figure that one out. Hopefully not a Gypsy!

re: All Team-BHP 4x4 Jeep Pics!

around 70 vehicles were auctioned on 23rd.

the scrap wala's forced the officers to sell all the vehicles in lots so only 6~7 vehicles were sold individually

so on average the mm 540 were sold around 50k each.

& the car in first pic is a modded mm 750 dp 4x2.

Another reliable fella to the existing stable meet M&M DP540, 1993 model, 4 wheel drive, absolute stock from top to bottom but will get a complete makeover soon, do keep an eye on this thread.

Now it's literally a HOUSE FULL situation no room for even a butterfly in the parking space.

re: All Team-BHP 4x4 Jeep Pics!

Thanks Fazal Saab its very much Hyderabadi, I brought it form Afzalgunj. tought of peping it up hence the alloys and I fell in love after having them, road handling, comfort and breaks have improved a lot apart from that now the jeep looks Hunk. Looking for HELLA lamps any suggestions from jeepers would be of a great help.

As in the Kissan jam AD "Sharing is caring teacher ne nahi bataya.." so my Willys is under the cover for the past two days as he is sharing his battery with this Hunk.
