Excellent job. But the blinkers on the fenders look a bit out of place.

Santosh,

They call it TRUCK.

The amount of accessories they add to it runs into several thousand $.
Like Harley Davidson does, the truck companies have a huge array of add ons to make each truck personalized. Mostly folks from Texas are bitten by the Truck culture since ages.

Is your friend a BHPian?
Regards,

Ha ha ha.. I have already seen guys here pointing me to 4L V6 or V8 Jeep Wrangler petrol engines while we compare the 2.2/2.5L diesel motors. Even the older wranglers were configured with 2.2 4cyl petrol engines.

Some pics of my jeep at the Great Escape Ahmedabad on 19th Nov.
First real outing after the 14B conversion. Few jeepers tried it on the obstacles and typical feedback was effortless, smooth, no-vibrations

Here are some pics of the Jeep:

re: All Team-BHP 4x4 Jeep Pics!

Hello Everyone,

After staying away from t-Bhp for almost a year, i thought i will put up pics of my Jeep that underwent a complete transformation, List of modification that was carried out in my 1970 Cj3B:
  1. 2007 DI Turbo
  2. New longer Chasis to accomodate the engine and GB
  3. Disc Brake with booster
  4. Maxi Truck front mount steering box
  5. Bolero Leaf springs
  6. MRF Wandrer tyres
  7. Tinkering and painting
  8. Canvas work
  9. Baleno Seats
  10. Pretty impressive ICE -- Not bad for a jeep
Have driven it down from Bhopal - Mumbai - Pune - Bangalore almost 1800 KM without any issues, drives like a dream. enjoying the the whistling turbo . Unlike my other jeep this one is a very sober looking yet has all the attributes of a JEEP.

Regards,

Fahad

Good one Jeepfreak, I love the shade. I like the way you constructed it, all the goodies, comfort and yet a JEEP lovely, even I am on the same line and am already dreaming of a similar project however on a MM540 chassis. How about some pics of engine bay, interiors. All the best with your beast and I I am sure you will rule the road.

You are welcome, you jeep deserves the best comments. I really fell in love with the way it is done, the shade, I could feel the attention you must have given on it, the way the jerry can is fixed without the strap, antenna (which brand), number plate, JEEP diesel monogram on the front etc, good ones the best part are the doors, can I request the pics of how is it stitched and fixed .

Is it running on a 4 speed 4X4 gear box ? if so did you not feel that "an extra gear required feel" mine is a Willys 3 speed mated to 97 PEUGEOT engine and I go through that feel every day and esp when on long drives.

Thats a job well done, indeed a sober looking but purposeful jeep. Though it would have looked even better in the shorter wheelbase form. The soft doors have come out really neat. Where did you get that done?
