CHECK THE PICS OF MY 1993 MODEL CJ 340 4x4 Jeep which my dad had purchased from the local Mahindra Dealership as a birthday gift for me.Very few of them were sold in Rajasthan and that too in this color.It is absolutely cent percent original and single hand driven....even though it's bit of a white elephant to maintain these days and procure original parts but I LOVE IT and shall not part with it!

Thats a very well done up and sparkling 340.

Thoughtful dad!

Why do you think its a white elephant? You will be surprised at how low it is at maintenance, since its all done up.

Is the front right fender slightly bent at the front edge or is it an illusion because of the wheel turned? The beefed up alloy wheels seem to have improved the macho looks of the classic. Congratulations @Vikram for such a beautiful jeep. Yes, definitely a very very thoughtful Dad.... As already asked, why do you call it a white elephant? How much has it run till now?

Hi Atul,

Yeah you are right...it is an optical illusion.Anyway,Many Thanks for the kind words .As i have mentioned in my post, it is literally impossible to procure original spares and parts for the jeep and that too at a rather steep price in case of availability.By the way i still have the original white rims which i plan to fit in another jeep that i have at my village.
My cj 340 has done more than one lac Kms and considering that i got it way back in 1993 when i was still in school,it's not much!!
I am posting an old pic of the jeep as it looked in the year 1993.The gentleman on the wheel is my father and the pic was taken by me at a resort at Devgarh on way to Udaipur.
