SOme pics

Hey All,

These images are courtsy fellow bhp-ian @testdrive aka Preet Sarai.
There are a lot of smaller attachments which still need to go on like the 5 liter water can, the rear tailgate jerry can, radio antenna , Pick axe etc.
I guess the army motif would be complete once all things fall into place.

Great Looking vehicle Naveen! Finally the wait is over
Congrats!!!

With regards to the small small niggles, I wouldn't worry about them! As they say the work on a jeep never stops! So these things take their own time and lost of patience!!!
You jeep is a great performer! Just run it in and I know that you'll cherish it for a long time to come!!!

I love the army markings!!! They add great character to your vehicle
Decided to name her yet???

Hi Guys,

Superb job guys, The rust in the Engine head was shocking.
Should have repainted the same military green only naa, with different combination for engine n axles. My opinion only !

My dream to own one such classic jeep

Hmm,...has not been all smooth sailing !??

Almost at the point of breaking,.....but I can't say I was'nt warned.

But you know what,....I've learnt something, R-E-S-T-O-R-A-T-I-O-N,..is not for everyone !!! You need time and a lotta "M" if you want a true blue stock reliable machine.

The most important bit is your restorer who has to be your confidant,...which in my case has been with me from 0---to 100 !

Jasvinder I would not have started this without you,..and hopefully we can finish this together by Monday huh ! what say ??

Under pressure of my rather zealous off-roading sessions the syncros from my 2nd and 3rd gears gave way. The already aging gears chipped and caused me a lotta grief. Hence now the evil Doc had to rip apart my gear box to fix it once and for all as I've opted for a complete gear box over haul to ensure it lasts me the eternal life of this jeep.

"doc_freak" I take my words back,....he he its takes tons of patience to get this ol piece o' machine to get it workable and competant ! and I do recall be-littling you cause,... I had all of 2 hours in your jeep from Neemrana to delhi !!

Edit--- I must add the rusty engine now purrs like a cat after the re-sleaving job,..seriously you cant hear her when stationary !! tis a beau !! But does spray unburnt hydrocarbons by the ton every time I click her up !

I could'nt leave you guys without adding a pic !! Hmmm cousins 20 yrs apart but cousins never the less !

Great job

Naveen,
Your jeep's fabulous. My 3B is currently coming up slowly but steadily at Mahindra's First Choice work shop under Sudhir Kashyap. Will start looking for the canvas cover in a couple of days. Where did you get the canvas. And then there-after the stitching and fitment? I see that you have not gone in for the roll bar.

regards,
atul

Re: Resurrection: A CJ3B STORY

What can I say times does fly....!
Its been 2 yrs since my CJ3B was resurrected and ever since the initial glitches were fixed it behaves like a new jeep in all aspects.

To be honest i would not be wrong is saying that it is only getting younger or may be the driver is learning to explore every hidden poetential in stages. Talk about coming of age.

I leave you with some pics which I am rather bashful about.
I think this was the most perfect proportion ever designed.
It starts on second crank, never over-heats anymore.
Is simply phenomenal off-road, and can give faster cars a run for its money (95+kmph clocked just recently)
