That is because they are usually cut and patch jobs in the Base Workshops. Some are even three-doors, with one door on the left with OMNI sliding panes, the right side retaining the larger sliding glasses of the FRP Gypsy Hard Top. Some have AC only for the driver and Sahab, with a partition behind the second seat, so the poor Jawan/orderly on the rear jump seat(s) has neither AC nor any ventilation ! They are common In Fort William (Eastern Command) in Calcutta, too, and other cantonment areas.

Azad Body Builders of Delhi make very good ones, but their order list is long. Some hill dealers still provide one for an interested customer, built by Azad, and some other workshops.

Yeah. Nice touch with the dual headlamps and grill. Looks well done. Any changes on the inside ?

I found the 410's engine more peppy even though the vehicle was underpowered. Wish Maruti Suzuki would give us the 1.6 lts engine and the Jimny's dash and instruments, if nothing else !

While clearing pics from old mobile, found pics of my friend's gypsy with modified suspension setup, on its maiden testing for articulation.
After few more tweaking and she is a Gypsy with Jeep behaviour (crawling and articulation)
