Hi Guys,
I have short listed a few HUs:
Can anoyone tell me the prices for these? If u already have auditioned these, may be u can tell me ur opinions as well

In order of priority (fav):
1. Kenwood KDC - X491
2. Kenwood KDC - 535U
3. Blau kingston MP47
4. Sony CDX- 660U
5. Clarion DX 575U

*. Alpine 9883 (this doesnt have USB, I may plug in a FM transmitter to my lossy music player - )

I may be going for a pair of Coax (JBL) front door speakers right now, and in future upgrade to Compos (and an amp probably) . I dont want to overspend on the HU right now. THe concern here is not to let any features in HU go unused.

EMD

Hi Guys,

I got a 460 in June this year. However, of late I am planning to get the bluetooth enabled headunit, perhaps MEX-BT5000. I have the B&W of the headunit. Wanted to know if a trade in is available at Sony dealers, or perhaps help me find similar in Delhi.

The dealer whom I purchased it from is just offering me 5k for a trade in, considering that I got it at 8.1k and have more than 22 months warranty.

Waiting for your responses.

Thanks

resale on electronics is pretty poor. 5K seems like a reasonable deal; warranty notwithstanding.

The HU amps are normally 15-20 watts rms but with loads of distortion. If you plan to listen it at moderate volumes then HU amp is enough but you want loud and clear then Amp is the way to go.

Burr Brown ( burrs) does not make a HU`s SQ to go up there are other things to be considered also. Like budget, features.
