aha finally the pods are done. I saw them at GYRO when i was there.

Something I would like to share when i auditioned the system with those metal domes.

- The tweet were located at the footwell but sound stage was great. I wonder how it was done and who tuned the system back then

- IDQ 10 in sealed blends superbly with the fronts.

- IDQ 10 can go loud and shake a Santro.

- Considering earlier tweets were metal dome were not bright as other metal domes.

SK sir are those the same tweets which are in sam_786 car ?

Beating the summer heat !

Well it was a lazy Sunday today . Got a call from friends for a get together. well for me a ge together has to involve music . Good music that is.
The venue was EOK @ Driven. We decided to audition an amplifer . My car was the chosen goat to be sacrificaed at the alter. One of the Tru Tech Billets was dismounted. The new amp was put in. System was fired up...
First into the car were Flying Bong and Gunbir.. I had to frustatingly wait for the duo to let me in.

Well finally my turn came. Both had smugy grins on there faces. Well I had a brief listen. Within the first few notes the verdict was out. The Billets were thrown high out of the water... I never knew what hit me.
Would leave the guessing to you what amp it was.... Enjoy folks!!!!

p.s- One little mouse ran away before he was hit by upgraditis again.

Hmmm...

Can't be the Genny DMA, as it is meant to drive 2-way comps in Active mode. SK has 3-ways.

SK said one of the Billets. So it could be the speaker amp or the sub amp. Manan is waiting for a Genny Monoblock, so I think that amp just arrived

If it is the speaker amp, it could be the Genny Dual Mono Extreme. Somehow I don't think that is it, as KK has had a DMX in his car for a while now, and so this (the ICE meet) could have happened earlier also.

That leaves the TRU B2200 (not likely, I feel) or *gulp* the TRU B4-S. Somehow I don't think that is it either.

SK, stop teasing us and out with it!

The last time I enabled it, my cd drive started performing better. It even burnt faster. Them, cds!
I recommend it very strongly.

But come on, this discussion should be in some other section. Please don't waste SK's beautiful thread on that.

Well to spill the beans finally although no prizes here as some have already guessed it. It WAS the Genesis DMA. The DMA i runs pure Class A till about 20-30 watts then onto class G. Numbers all the techie mumbo-jumbo can be googled up.

Well as i said earlier it threw the Billets overboard. But for god's sake how could it be ? They were TRU BILLETS for god's sake. Well I also realized ( was reminded that one 2 channel DMA costs more that both my 6 channels of billets ).The amp reminded me of the Audison VRX but better...

The slam from the midbasses and the clean extended vocals didnt take me a second to know that the billets had been floored. Now all the components ( the midbasses.midrange and tweets ) were coherently performing as if a single driver. Soundstage was deeep and high .

The highs and mids were sparkling with the midbass just slamming home clean. The noise floor had as if just disappeared. It was also finally clear to me what the Rainbow Vanadiums were all about. The true potential of the speakers had just been realized.

Well this was just a friendly audition folks. My set up still remains the same . Santa would have to be very very generous for me to have a DMA.
