I don't think the magnet in the front of the sub will be a problem. You can either fix the height of the spacers so the magnet is just under the plexiglass (and not touching it).

Alternatively you can make a circular hole in the center of the plexiglass to accommodate the magnet (just like the grille of the midbasses). This way you may not have place to etch the Illusion logo, but the magnet will be peeking through, and that should be good enough, right?

BTW, LEDs placed inside the plexiglass spacers would look totally cool in the night when lit-up: The entire plexiglass cover would light up. Bling, bling!

see, dad knows there is new stuff underneath, but he doesnt know how much its worth :-P (like most of us here, esp. in this section, who JUST cant reveal how much the ICE is worth, to our parents, wives etc. in the fear of being alienated and labelled as PSYCHOS)

heheh i was toying with the ideas of LED's but i have given up the thought after arpandiv tried toying with them and got a whine in his fronts. that's worrying because my slightly cheaper RCA's are prone to noise, and somehow I do hear it already. So not toying with any LED's near the amps or the sub. im just paranoid.

b&t is thinking of something on an alternate level. if he comes up with something, i shall post here. as of now, im enjoying the music. its a pure SQ setup, but just loading some Paul Oakenfold FLAC's on the pod to see how it sounds. I'm sure I will enjoy it. the Illusion sub is game enough for fast paced bass. Let's see!

My mom (for over 30 years) and my wife (for atleast the past 10) have tolerated my excesses in audio. My mom hoped audio/electronics would keep me away from girls (it did not - I got married), my wife, I believe, thinks it is better than me getting a misteress.

Once you tell your mom and dad the 'alternate' activities you could have got involved in they will be happy all you ever do is ICE. BTW 'ICE' has other meanings too

my girlfriend gets jealous of the time I give to the car, and hence the ICE. and she expects to TALK when we are on a drive! i mean what is the ICE for, if we must talk

1. If your girlfriend is jealous of your ICE wonder what she'll say if and when you get a second girlfriend.

2. Tell her the ICE is so that she can TALK and still retain your love. My wife have survived 15 years precisely becuase she TALKS and I DO NOT listen. After a while you get used to it and can tune yourself out without the use of ICE. Today I am able to remember the conversation without even listening by just 'dropping in' on her monolouges every few minutes.

When I was in the US my mom would call. I'd put her on speakerphone go to the kitchen, squeeze out a few lemons, add sugar, add ice water and chill sometimes even watching TV while she went ya-da-ya-da-ya-da.

But we like doing 2-3 things at one time, like driving, listening to that astounding Pink Floyd solo that was going on in our minds, AND listen to you'll speak! There are two settings for the sub woofer. System 1 and system 2. 2 accentuates the sub woofer at low volumes and 1 is the normal. Which one do you'll prefer. I somehow prefer 2 but at higher volumes the sub plays softer than at setting 1. What's the dope on that?
