Ya sure Manan. Also create a thread and share your experience of CTX sub with fellow members too.

I think the IDQv3 12 is for 20k something. Comparing to it IDv3 15 is a bit on expensive side IMO.

both are of a different league one can't compare the id to idq, and here you are comparing a 12" sub to a 15"sub.

I agree they are in different league but at the same time they are priced equally. I think IDQ 12" is better than the ID 15" in terms of SQ. 15" may be loud though.

ID CTX would be priced somewhere around 7k to 8k ,Its lower than the iD series. Now you have four series in the Image Dynamics Range

1. CTX ( Under 10k)
2. iDv3 (Between 10 to 20k)
3. iDQ (Between 20 to 30k)
4. iDMax(30k+)

Every subwoofer is very different from each other, The iDv3 sounds more like an iDMax at a lesser price, The iDQ has a complete different sound signature, Known around the world for its musical capabilities, The iDMax my favourite, Is a blend of both SQ and SPL and goes extremely low.

or rather you can say a mixture of both low's from id, sound quality from idq and can go low low and low.

Thank you so much everyone for your contribution. I must say that you guys really help me save me some Pounds.

Now i am really happy with the ESK 165 as they sound perfect to my taste. The question is, what would be the best output i need to give to IDV3 12" to get the max out of them. I really dont want to have Mono but then if ID deserves more power then i might think about it. I was thinking of geting JBL 1004 and power front comps and ID with that. The qestion is that i never got a reply how much does JBL1004 gives in bridged mode when you are already powering front comps with 100*2. Does it really gives 300+ RMS when bridged or is it that when you have 300*2 chl at 4ohm.

One more thing, if i but JBL1004 and run the front comps at 4ohm, can i make it power ID at 2ohm so that i can get the MAX out of the amp?? if so, then how much do you think would the RMS that would be going to ID at 2ohm??

1004 gives 320W RMS @4 OHM (bridged). Its not stable at 2 OHM (Bridged)

You can only power ID at 4 OHMs from 1004 . Buy IDv3 D2 and wire it in series and that will put 4 OHM load on 1004.

Is this also possible?

Since the IDv3 is a DVC Sub.
Power one coil with 2 channels (Bridged) at 4 ohms and the other coil with 2 channels bridged.
You would be in that case giving a total of 600w.

(P.S. I aint sure if this is possible)

Ok you mean to say that bridged all the 4 chls of the amp to power the ID. But then wont 600 would be too much for IDV3 12"? Dont you think 320 would be enough for it?

I am not sure about that.
Depends much on your listening style etc.
320 is the incorrect figure according to sonicelectronix.

JBL GTO1004 Multi-channel Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix

though its mentioned 300w which aint too different.
What is the optimal power range for the IDv3?
I know the ID Max has 250-1000w
