That's right. Dan has been living in China to get this thing launched soon including some other new exciting products, and theres one that I would like to see is the ceradome tweeter with XBL^2. BM has been in design/ making since last 2 years. The Mag has been discontinued but work on MAGv5 has already started and should be better in someway than the MAGv4.

Navin, I guess Abhinav meant 3.5", i suppose he got carried away in excitement

Frank looking at that you have 550RMS at 2 ohms the best I can think of is to get 2x10" IDv3 2ohms dvc or if you can source IDQ15v2. As these will perform at max as per their rated power and the power available.

At 550 rms all the ID subs will work great 2 X idv312, 2 X idq12, 1 X 12" max all will work pretty good so now frank need to decide.

As for the price If IDMAX is expensive in India he can source it from US, The price there is $ 450 so it come to approx 22500 add another 5k (kmd) so i don't think its expensive he can increase his budget but another 8k but he will not get any warranty on it and buying such expensive driver without warranty will not recommend.

KMD'S quote for IDMAX is 38k.. LOL. it's not the commision, it's the shipping weight of the Sub. MASSIVE.

Ya it weights 15kg only the driver, For 38k its better you buy it in India if you are ready to spend this much as your budget is 20k.

All that weight is going to throw your weight distribution off.
By my calculation, your car might start understeering early.
Since you've bought a driver's car, consider dynamics before loading the boot with 20-30kgs.

Not the iDMAX. its a great sub, but I guess it's not my cup of tea. I got something else. (maybe better for my purpose of application ;-)

I'm ABSOLUTELY elated!

Hey frank,

what did you select ?

Man, your threads rule the ICE popularity charts. What a journey, just when i thought that your ICE couldn't get any sweeter, you go all out and change your wheels, so the roller coaster begins again.

Cheers

thanks Tanmay! it's been a journey, no doubt.
new car, so I thought I'd upgrade now, since I don't want to keep opening the car up (this lead to rattles in my esteem) to change equipment.

The sub in question is a dream. An absolute work of art. Something unique.

DEFINITELY, the first on this forum (unless I missed it)

Here goes, some fodder for thought.
