Those models will be available shortly. 8500 and 4500. For sure
Thats good news for me.I can wait for few weeks for these products.

Sam, can u provide tentative dates?

Yesterday i read a article about best amplifier under 300$ and i came across infinty ref 7541 and Rockford Fosgate P4004 as no.1 and 2 res'ly.
Alpime f240 was 7th or 8th.
What u guys think about these two amps?

And what could be the cost of Alpine 9847 HU in India?

Alpine makes nice amps. I got the 340 and blau's 450 and the 340 is definitely smoother. I have not heard Infinity yet though.

Hi Guys

I have following queries.....
1)I want to buy stuff like dynamat/baffles etc.which one wud be better if i have to go for only one of these? How much i need per speaker? [for 5.25 " in doors]

2)And guys,MTX Thunder564 70W x 4 Car Amplifier is available for only 200$ on crutchfield.It was worth 339$ before this price cut.
Earlier i had chosen alpine F240.Do u think this MTX will be better than Aline F240?Acc. to its review, features and probably more price than alpine,do u think its better opton? It has only 1 pair of preamp output though.

Thanx......

The MTX 564 is obviously a better bet keeping in mind the power output. Its got 30w rms more power per channel than the Alpine. Plus Mtx used to always under rate their amps, I dont know how it is now and their power output used to be measured at 12V instead of the industry standard of 14.4V.

I have been using a Mtx for the last 4 years now, to power my sub and its just been performing without any problem.

1 preamp output is enough if you want to add another amplifier in the future. You would not even need it if your HU has 2 or 3 preamp outputs because you will be using the HU's preamps.

I have not heard MTX amps at length. the ones i have heard were driving subs. from what i heard i believe they can swings volts but SQ is another ball game. maybe Sam, Moods, Vivek, Mclanre, JB or Gunbir might have the nessacary exposure to offer a comphrehensive answer.

The SQ of the MTX will be just fine, most probably better than the Alpine. Yes, I have listened to Alpine as well. I have listened to cars with MTX amps running speakers and they were singing well.

For me, I would pick a MTX over Alpine anyday.
