Received 50 mm F1.7 minolta with nex adapter. Some quick tests before we head out for Diwali celebrations at the temple. I love the amount of light it lets in. And focus peaking for nex makes everything so much easier.

at various apertures, makes a world of diference between F1.7 and 2.8

This is the best I get from my kit lens.

Could you please share where you purchased this combo along with the price details?

I bought the lens+adapter from this seller, but there are hundreds of vendor selling adapters on ebay that can be used with existing lenses. These are mechanical adapters, so no IS, no auto focus, no zoom, no aperture control via camera. Every lens has to have manual controls if you want to use them with this adapter. I have ordered a Nikon adapter which should be arriving soon.

Edit: I requested him to include nex adapter for his existing listing and he changed the listing and price immediately (additional 11 USD for the adapter), very responsive seller if you like one of his lenses and want adapter for it.

Few captures of this year's Diwali. Thinking of "graduating" to an SLR soon.

So are the price displayed includes the nex adapter?
Are there any similar deals on 35mm prime lens for Nex-5n?

If it says nex adapted, then yes. But clarify from the seller before buying.

Shot this yesterday on DVG road. The street was extremely crowded. It is definitely not safe to photograph there.
