Attach the ring to the already cut lens cap. Now screw in your lens in reverse direction and you got your reversing macro setup. But problem is that you'll loose control on aperature. So for this either you can buy the expensive reversing setup

or,

Get two rings, one which fits your 18-55mm filter thread and other which fits your reversing lens(say a 50mm 1.8). Now fix these two rings together and voila your adapter is ready. Let the adhesive settle down, don;t be in a hurry.
After this attach the adapter to the lens which will be mounted normally. Now the lens connected to the camera in a normal way will provide the aperature control. Screw in the reversing lens on the other side thread of the adapeter. And your macro setup is ready. BTW, I've not tried this method so not sure with which lenses it will work or it will work at all. I think it should work with 50mm reverse mounted. Give it a try and you can magnification more then 1:1. But the drawback is that it'll be very cumbersome to use and can only be used in controlled environment. I hope it'll work. I've read someone doing this long time back so I may have missed a point or two here.

@guyonblackybx: I use a 55-250 IS, Sharpening done in DPP, Great macro shot....I want to pick up that reverse lens mount/adapter for 18-55 any idea if its off the shelf in Blore?

These adapters are not available in Hyderabad not sure of Banglor. I have created one on my on same lines as discribed by Kaushik.

Last 3 pics are of my reverse lense coupler/adapter, clicked those withmy ex-K790i

First image is one I have created out of 3 pictures. Used Tripod to get uniform background and Photoshop for merging the images.

Redrage, Nice pics there. But in the first and second pic sharpness is missing, I can understand about the second pic, may be it's because of Zoom & lots of noise

Thanks Shushruth, Second pic was posted on basis of sighting. Its a torrid image.Dint want to go overboard with the sharpness on the first one as it was handheld and more sharpening would lead to a grainy image. Thanks for the critic.

Nope, neither of the two, but Khajjiar. At 2500 pp it was a tad too expensive. Will try at billing someday as I am told bir/billing have cheaper para gliding options
