Great shots of the parrot there but you know most nature photography websites and forums ban nesting photographs. The logic and rationale being that they create an unethical competition among photographers to get that special nesting shot resulting in loss of innocent little birds, eggs etc. Parent birds often desert a nest and their babies if human beings touch them or come too close.

These shots were taken without going near the nest. Infact there were people sitting closer to the nest(since it was fort wall) than me.

Those critters are just awesome. I really liked the "lizard of eden"! Its lit very nicely. And no I didn't give anyone any tips..haha, I learned a lot of tips from the experience though!

I am glad I did, it was pretty intense out there. If you dont watch your back, you could end up with a biker on u! these guys are amazingly gutsy I must say!

Well no such plans as yet, but hell yeah! Photojournalism, especially for racing events sounds so cool to be true. But the sad part of those kinda photography is that you never end up owning the shots you take, they will always belong to the agency you shoot for.

Thanks buddy. I have not adjusted the saturation at all, all I did was an unsharp mask, a bit of exposure reduction since it was afternoon and the sun was alittle too harsh and subsequently did some shadow detailing as well.

I have seen a lot of nesting photos, and as long as you dont disturb them physically...I thinks just fine.
So here's an experimental shot. This is the first time I used my SB900 Flash unit. I barely knew what I was doing. So hope things will get better soon :)

Met this guy and a couple of his friends near an 18th century step well (Bawli) from the late Mughal era. It used to be a water source during the summer months. Now only the kids come here and take dips plunging from the 3 story high balconies which surround the step well. This particular boy who said his name was "
Shoaib" asked us if we'd take his photograph if he jumped into the water. Thus this shot. Hopefully I'll go there in a week or so and give him a copy of the shot as well.
While dropping with the gravitational pull towards the water. This was shot just before he was about to hit the water.

Oh please don't misunderstand me. I didn't mean you shouldn't have taken the shot or that you did something unethical by clicking the shots or went too close etc etc!! lol. Not at all. I am sure you are personally quite responsible towards nature and wouldn't harm the little ones. I think most team-bhp moderators are fairly balanced/responsible people.
I just referred to a common convention/rule followed by most nature websites and forums regarding posting of those pictures. I also tried to explain the logic behind the rule, because to most of us such rules seem apparently illogical.

Oh ok Sudipto. I guess I understand some photographers will be willing to disturb the nest to "get the shot".
Not only disturb the nest, many wouldn't think twice before destroying the nest so that other photographers can't get it !!!
