Rudra and
Mukul some brilliant pics there. Good job and I still cant get a hang of the jargon you chaps are talking about :D .
Here's an attempt , went for some birding and ended up clicking this.

Lovely composition Riju, nice colors too. But I wish that the foreground was bit more in focus and you can correct the tilt in the horizon(shore line).
TG, loved the first pic from your last post. Nice one.
@rj, Your pic captured the mood perfectly..
@Kaushik
Thanksman
@Riju
I liked the gradation in color there.
Monochrome yet again

Regards,
TG.
Isnt this inviting? :)
One picture at ISO 3200. (Cropped too). With a bit of Noise reduction, I find it quite usable for small 4x6 prints.

It is indeed! Specially the water colors on the first picture..

@TG: The first thing that came to my mind when I looked at your picture was this, the foreground is out of depth..
@Rudra: I understand why you recommend narrow aperture while taking landscape shots, for its higher DOF. One thing really puzzles me sometimes is the fact that the landscape mode in many cameras, including DSLRs does not narrow down the aperture at all. It just narrows aperture when there is more light.. that all.
But I will always use Manual or Aperture prio. mode when I shoot landscapes. If it is gonna be an HDR, of course Manual, as Aperture prio mode is out of question.

Why not Auto Exposure Bracketing with Aperture Priority mode? Should work the same, isn't it?

@Clevermax
I had purposely tried that, i didnt know that it doesnt work until Rudra told me :) I guess I am compensating for that. Shot with the Sony P&S.

some breathtaking pics on this thread. please lemme know if this pic qualifies to be here . its definitely "non - auto" but still so "auto" in so many ways.took this pic recently in bandipur. no PP, not even cropping, just resized to fit here . took the pic thru the windsheild, it was slightly drizzling, turn the wiper on and clicked.
Posting some pics of the Eiffel from my recent Eurotrip.
Hope they are worthy enough for this thread....

@abhijit, very interesting composition. Good Capture. I think you should retake the same pic without the harsh light (which has resulted in color loss) on the pink petals (Sun/flash?).
@faithless_1984,
I loved that last picture because it was so interesting, and yet, you have no idea about what youre looking at (if it wasnt for the earlier 2 pictures).
It could be some crazy underground passage or a space-ship scene from star wars!

@ Faithless. Fantastic shots boss. Really great control over the noise in those shots. I'd though would've liked the tower without its chopped off top. But, nevertheless they are top class.
Posting a new photograph which I shot some days back. Did some sort of trial and error processing.
