With the advent of digicam, getting the right exposure is a simple matter of trial and error these days. You can take many photos with 1/3 stop difference, and later you can take your pick. Once you master the basic techniques of exposure and DOF by varying aperture/ISO/shutterspeed, you will run into the real challenge, composition. This is where most budding amatuer photographers get stuck. That's where I am stuck too. Composition is what separates likes of us from likes of Rudra.

@Navdeep: Isn't that tomato? Raspberries look like this...

Some snaps taken by me during my Kerala trip in December.
Although i enjoy photography, i know very little about the technical details and stuff involved. Some amateurish shots.

Camera Used : Fuji FinePix S5600 (borrowed from my friend)

Bandipur Forest

House Boat in Alleppey

Pookot Lake in Wayanad

Comments awaited. More later.

Last week I found a personal treasure, lots of photo negatives from my 1993-95 days. Not all, but some of them, about 236 photos. I got them all scanned and found some good ones. I'll routinely post them in future in this thread. Hope you like it. I've left the date on it intentionally.

Take note, these are not digicam pictures, instead they are taken using Olympus IS-3 SLR on 200 ISO film.
