No Samurai sir, I understood that you ment SLR's and not DSLR's. I read in a forum that some people still like using SLR's(film) and feel that when you print it the pics taken in SLR's are better. But i think the sensors in advanced pro DSLR's today are equally good. Im no where near to Pro's like Rudra sir but have just started photography as a hobby.

oops.. I looked at your picture in a different way. I concentrated more on the shadow like appeaence of the Pillar when the sun is behind it.

A good inkjet print on right paper will make a world of difference. Epson and such have archival papers for inkjet printing. A proper 6/8 colours inkjet printer can bring out the magic of tone and colour.

These prints are expensive. But then you'll know the quality of your shots only. Hence that comment.

Hope I'm making it clear now.

Thanks Rudra !
  • Does a 3.2 megapixel will bring out desired results ?
  • How are these differents from what we get developed from photo studio developer machines.
  • For framing purposes, which one is recommended ?

It depends greatly on your enlargement size. Otherwise, I don't see any reason why one can't get good result.

A real big difference. What you get from photo studio is bromide print. In glossy or matte. A inkjet printer (good setup) will work on your Computer's colour profile. Printer needs your colour profile to give you the results you're looking for.

To start with, read this

Inkjet (archival paper print), if you want to keep it for long. Archival papers have more than 100 years of life.

No sea of knowledge only observation.
I didn't know about your 3.2 mp size. Give me time till evening and I promise to get back on max enlargement size from 3.2.

Also point to remember that larger print need greater viewing distance.

You can take double the size of that as in prints. You can possibly get (2048 X 2=4096 equivalent) upto A2 print size without missing any quality.
Print quality will also improve on choice of paper. Check out in your area if anybody's printing on high end Epson printers with Epson papers. Results are stunning. In Bangalore a setup is coming up with Epson's support. Hope to see that up and running (the way it should) in a month time.

Well even i like to take pics at time but don't have a digital camera so N70 is my friend. Have taken some good pics with it at times here are a few:

It lacks detail but still looks ok and i think thats the best i can do with N70.. They look pretty good at 1024x768 resolution.
