Wassup Mukul you seem to be going back the film way ? I love the b&w shots adds a retro look to the frame.

Yeah, I am tired of digital man. I am not seeing anymore growth there for me. I always believed that digital makes anyone a photographer(which includes myself), but the discipline and understanding of light that you learn while shooting film, is no match for digital. I am learning it first hand now as i am walking around with the film SLR. Also, since the number of shots is limited, quality check happens even before you click, unlike digital where you do quality check(delete) after you click. To me the former makes more sense as it has a direct impact on how you see things and develop your eye.
Just my 2 cents.

By the way, I still do shoot digital as well, but make it a point to carry the film camera wherever I go, and digital only for select purposes.

@ TG - I dont think the just clicking in film makes a perfect photographer, its more of understanding light and color whatever the source of capture - digital or film. You had already posted some brilliant shots, so how does it make a difference !

This is primarily so, because you do not have the luxury of clicking 100s of images and then reviewing them to filter out the best. The filtering happens even before you decide to click. In the process you improve your eye and select compositions in a much better fashion.

So where it makes a difference is in discipline.

TG, I think you mean v&v and not promod.

And I agree. In film days, one had to be careful before clicking.

1) Film cost money, so using the camera like a Gatling gun costs too much money.
2) You won't know the result until the film is developed, it might be too late retry again.

I used to shoot pretty decently between 1989-2001 using SLRs. Then in 2001 I got my first digial P&S and photos started to suck. It got bad enough that my wife wanted me to go back to film. She thought it was because of digital. Finally in 2005, I understood the real reason and started shooting carefully like the early days.

TG, Interested to know how you are digitizing your film shots for making these jpegs. Is it just scanning of the photograph of you're making digital version directly from the negatives?

I think I am doing things the wrong way around then ...

I am learning / trying to learn on an HS10 in the hope of using my Cannon film SLR to devastating effect. :D

I am on the same path as you. I did not have the fortune to shoot much with film, since I am a product of the digital age! Transition to film from digital is so awesome though. I am enjoying it to the fullest!
