Ha ha, I won't be using it this often if I buy one :P. I am realizing that I need to sell my lenses off and use friend's lenses when I go out. I end up making good photographs in the limited time frame ;).

And, BW kings are Rudra sir and TG. I am way out of the league :P. Regarding the photograph itself, a little over-exposed perhaps?

Whats dedicated is anyway dedicated. Rudraji is not a king, he is a Super King by age, wisdom and experience. We were supposed to meet him right ?

'Overexposed' is a term that might apply to all my shots of Saturday as the sun was too bright and I failed to control the settings. Point for me to realise that I havent even started my learning :)

Hmm, you can recover highlights in post processing. I'll give you some videos next time we meet. You can do a LOT in Adobe camera raw itself :). BTW, when it comes to filters I learnt a lot. I used Marumi CPL on my 18-55 lens and the skies were no where close to the ones I shot with Tokina lens with Hoya CPL (I think). The quality of filters really make a big difference when it comes to stuff like CPL.

Amazing shots there TG, I love the way you create a feel with those colors. Very nicely processed..!

@HW: The flower shot is special.

Beautiful click. The reflection on the water droplets and those tiny droplets looks awesome.

Woww.I liked the snake shot very much. And yes, I'm finding hard to pick my favorite from portrait series. All the pictures are seriously awesome.

Was at Lepakshi with a flickr group and tried my first HDR (think, the stop differences was about 1). The DR didn't require a HDR, but I had bracketed the shots, so thought of trying it out. Used a friend's tokina 11-16 for this and I am impressed with this lens, sharp, very sharp. Funny thing was, I am so used to primes, instead of zooming in I was moving around to get the composition I had in mind. Here it is, more to come as I process them.

Beautiful BW shot. I liked the perspective and clouds there.

I liked the way you have framed the first shot! You really deserve a standing ovation - Yeah, the flower shot has made me speechless!

Brother, why no new snaps from you? Hooked up with work eh?

Here is one from me,

It all depends on where you stand, when it rains! :D

Camera : Sony DSC W35
Location : Edappal Junction, Kerala

I captured this one when I got bored sitting inside my car! Blame the traffic jams.

PS: I love to photograph the things around me when I get stuck in a traffic jam! And yes, It's real fun to do so until others start abusing you for taking the pictures of their cars!

Thank you, I am glad that you like it :). By the way, I am yet to reply to your question about "cheaper" ways of doing macro with your P&S, I'll do that soon. In the mean time, see if you can procure an old mf lens (any lens) for about 400-500 bucks.

Nice shots Riju, but I don't like the second one that much. Umm, the camera seems like it was placed in PP, may be because a flash was used, hence eliminating all shadows?
