Pramod, I think it was some dirt on the outer glass of the lens, at least I hope so. Need to check the sensor - It had fungus growth earlier. But if sensor has fungus, it would appear more sharp in these kind of narrow aperture shots. |

@sree, fantastic pics. how do you insert pics between lines? All my pics are always inserted at the end of the text, so relating to a particular pic gets difficult. |

Since you don't have an aperture priority mode in that, only thing you can do is to zoom to 3x and frame the subject with background preferably not too close to the subject.. And why do you have to refrain from landscape shots since you only have 3x? Most of the landscape shots are taken at widest angles (lowest zoom) right? |

Yes, I could have tested a lower powered flash too, need to do that soon. My vote for the 'Man', hope your walk was enjoyable with 50 people around, or was it more than that ? I was hoping for the waiting list to approve me, but there was no luck !! Next time, please let me know before time, although I am not very keen on walking with a group ! Water lilly from our previous Sunday walk ! Attachment 393687 |

Am I seeing more and more black and whites these days ? Great job with the recent string of photographs. The quality of photography being showcased here is on a steep rise! Very healthy signs! @Hellwrath The man's shot is better. The second one that is. But I have critique. You could have framed it better. With a little more balance. The image is too close and he is cramped into the frame. His smile and mood shows happiness...Happiness is not supposed to be cramped within in a tiny space. It should have freedom to be spread. There must be more space around him. Next time make cleverer use of negative space. Attachment 393799 Regards, TG. |

That turns out to be a big fungus in the sensor!! This shot is taken at f/36. Levels are adjusted a bit to make the fungus really visible. The previous shot (shipyard) was taken at f/9 or so and the fungus isn't appearing that sharp. All the other dark spots are also some dust on the sensor, except the boomerang shaped one on the right. Attachment 394462 Not only in pictures, but it is directly visible when I put the cam in cleaning mode as well. |
