@robi, which lens do you have? Is it a 500mm? I get frustrated shooting with my 70-300. LOL. Awesome snaps!
@gd, boss, you are not following your own principles! :D

A bird this time - red vented bulbul. And this is the best I have been able to come up with in a month. I mean in terms of patience, luck and size of image. Taken with my 70-300, no photoshop, just light GIMP contrast adjustment. Not the best composition, but these guys fly off the moment I come close! Bah!

Pjay, I've an idea. You can easily clone out the electric line in the background since it is in the sky.

The electric line in the foreground can be cloned right upto the point where it seems to be touching the structure and then after the structure.

when you do so, the black line on the structure shall appear like a crack in the architecture adding mystery to it..

Thanks gd I had thought about it but right now I am without PS so can't do anything more than basic PP :)

Great shots, Robi. Interested to know what lens you use.

Here goes another pic from me, pretty mediocre technically but I like it for the subject (love those old temples in Kerala).

I wouldn't have done it for sure. I looked at the picture with a different perspective, hid the electric lines with a piece of paper and viewed. It somehow added mystery to the picture.

Then in Google searched for how to erase something in a picture. There I learned the term cloning...:D

Loved the picture. Do it in Sepia or Black and White. It will be stunning imho.

Now you have entered the batch of 'dangerous' men :), I am yet to figure out how it works. My CS4 shows error whenever I try clone tool.

I feel this one is the one of the best of your many images.

Shaju, I mentioned that from Google I learned that cloning is the way to erase something. I've CS3 and use it only for cropping. I searched in the menu and did not find the cloning menu. so, I'm still out of the danger zone..:D

That sunrise is awesome...Love it..

Fantastic shot, Shaju !

you can use retouch tool from picasa, cloning from GIMP, or free-form select, copy and paste in good old MSPAINT.

Ever the modest one. If I had a rose (or a Full Frame) I would give it to you. Superb shot!

That's a lovely shot Shaju. Love the colors and composition.
A small niggle though, a slight tilt correction will make it complete I feel..

@shaju
Use Alt/Option on Mac+Click to chose where to clone from first and then clone :)

Nice shot there! BTW, one question, is the boat planted?

A photo of the sunset from my side.

@punter: Is the sunrise photoshopped? Especially with respect to the rays breaking over the clouds? Looks good.
