Super moon captured
f11,1/500, 300mm

@clevermax - thanks, i will try the next full moon.
@V&V - nice shot of the SM and thanks for sharing the setting, whats the MP?
Tree photography

Not sure what I got wrong in the first pic. It somehow isn't to my liking compared to other similar shots (of forests/canopy of tress etc)
Next shot of the moon last night ..
Best effort from my side for last night's event -

The super moon over Mumbai harbor

My humble attempt at capturing the moon..

SuperMoon,
The first two images are shot at Bangalore on March 18, while the 2nd and 3rd are from the other side of the globe (Seattle). C&C..
Thanks.
Ketan
Super moon captured yesterday.
Comparison of sizes. First one was captured on Nov 21st.

Jules Verne taken at f/2 , 1/50 , ISO-200, 35 mm

stupid: Just one question Ketan; since all the images of the Supermoon bear your signature, how did you shoot one from India and the other from Seattle on the same day/night?

This would have stood out more if you had taken this against the white patch visible in the background...

This is what I saw in the morning on my recent visit to Sariska on 18th Mar, 2011
Peacock - in full glory
@GD,
I started on Mar 19 early morning from India. I landed in Seattle by 4PM on Mar 19. 2nd and third were clicked on Mar 19 at Seattle. I could have captured few more from here, but didnt really see a big difference, and yes, I really need a good tripod for this, it was difficult to handheld in the cold weather outside.
Didnt really get you, which white patch you are talking about??
Aha, that explains. The white patch referred was not meant for you. It was in response to the post by low_bass..

Dear super moon 'brain washed' friends, although there were reports that no calamities or bad things happened around the world as expected or fore-casted, I can see it happening here :D. Can we start seeing some other subjects soon ?
As clevermax pointed out, it was another media hype about the whole thing and I did not even bother to take out my cam as I have too many 'good for nothing' moon shots over the months. Feeling sad for the crazy groups that went to Nandi hills and stayed there all night for that 'perfect' shot of their lifetime !!! Someone even told me going up the hills and shooting with an 18-55 kit lens would be as equal as using a 400mm on the sea level, hope they were right !:)
From my light experiments today. (Special thanks to Dr.Prem).

Hey Shaju, were we talking about natural calamities here! I missed it! nevermind, not everyone will go to Nandi hills for those shots. Lets get back, get back to photography :)
