Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@Arvind – The green background has added a nice character to the image.

@Robi – Great shots man. Usually owls are subject of fear and hatred because their nocturnal nature but looking at these images they look real cute! Especially the eyes and fluffy round head.

@rjstyles69 – Loved the first one. It has a 3D feel to it.

@Shaju – the colours in the last pic have come out well. So the D700 is definitely not to be blamed here..its surely your eyes

Here are some random shades of green

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Beautiful pictures everyone. Simply amazing. And to know that not everyone here is a professional.

I have not posted here in a while. I am just roaming around a bit and concentrating on taking pictures of things around the place I live. The rains should be interesting. Here are a couple of my favourites from recent days. The one with the butterfly was taken with my 70-300, while I was lucky to get the lizard shot with my 50mm. Don't ask me how I got it. The compression may not do the pictures justice, but what the *ell?

Yep, that's the IRR. I was in the front at the Ejipura signal when it went green, hence got a clean empty road.

I think the brightness control works as an exposure control in such phone cameras. In my HTC Desire I use that to control the exposure. There's metering mode settings too, you can take advantage of.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@amolpol
Yes there are apps which can control everything manually as well. I shot these using the default camera app though, no exposure fixing has been done. There is an app called photoforge, that can be used to add the film emulsion developed look.

@clevermax
@ironh4wk
Thank you guys.

pawan_pullarwar

Where was this picture taken and in which month. Is it a normal occurence there or one would be lucky to experience this sight in real.
