Hi Mobike
20K is too expensive for me to spend on a game console. I bought PS2 for 8000. Also i don't have any plans to upgrade my TV to HD LCD. That is atleast another 5 years away unless LCD prices come down to CRT tv prices.

Can you please let me where in Hyd i can find large collection of PS2 games. Walden doesn't have more that 10 games when i went there. I saw a stall in Prasads Multiplex. He has all the consoles and large collection of games. Any other places?

Sorry buddy, i am a complete newcomer to gaming consoles. Except for playing on an Xbox in singapore in a microsoft office, i have absolutely no experience on these equipments. Me in learning phase right now

Can any of you guys please tell me where i can (anywhere in India) get original NTSC/J ps2 games ? Specifically lookin for GT4 and Richard Burns Rally.

I have the pirate version of GT4, but it does'nt play on the PS3. And all major stores in bangalore are selling only the original PAL version of PS2 games.

Its been 3 months since i bought the PS3, and have'nt yet played a decent racing game on it. I bought the PS3 only to play GT5 and its release is ever gettin postponed.

Ps. I don't have a ps2, and have'nt experienced GT4. Any B'lore members want to sell their PS2..??

Hi Guys ,

I bought a PS2 last weekend , I bought it with 1 extra controller , 8 MB memory card all for 6800 Rs, It is modded to play pirated games as well

my question is I tried 12 games on it and only 6 of them worked

, and 2 DVD's were making very creepy noise as if they are colliding with some part or something so i took them out , is there some problem with the console or it is normal ???

Please suggest , based on ur suggestions may be i will go back and confront the shopkeeper , though its grey stuff.

Prashant my Ps2 wont play dvds/cds with scratches! Other than that all the games i bought from palika work properly!

What games are u playing?

Hi ,

Thanks for replying bro , I tried playing Lord of the rings , Smackdown , Bully , Terminator and 2 more , yeah all of them got lot of scratches.
I also got all the stuf from palika .

My console made that "krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound while i tried 2 games , is that normal or he gave me a faulty console ?

The krrrr sound is normal, its normal also for 4 out of 10 games not to work on a ps2, chances are the fault lyin in the cd and not the console.but for most chipped ps2's once u put the cd in you have to press the restart button again so that a cd works.. You can play any amount of scratched games on the ps2 no problem at all.

well krrr soundis normal it ocurrs on few DVDs....Well..Original tekken?? You nuts?? I have been playing my pirated tekken and am quite satisfied..By the way most PS2 players who love fighting on tekken dont know about "Def Jam Fight for NY".... This an awesome game...it can beat tekken anytime in graphic and moves and everything...It also starrs many rapers like snoopdog, ludacris, xzibit ( Pimp my ride guy) ...Well try it out friends...

I can tell you shop number in palika where they sell good DVDs...everytime i go there i buy around 20 DVDs and only two or three turns out to be crappy...But i can always get them changed....

Hi, Can anyone let me know the price of a PS2 Slim version, color I want is only silver and if anyone knows a seller personally I wub be greatful.

And also I guess the problem with the PS2 with modchip not playing the DvD's and the Game CD's is cos of the inferior quality of mod chip used or the mod is a shoddy job, but for what its worth to hell with resetting the unit 10 times.

The non modded PS2 slim is officially priced at Rs.8000. I recently bought one. I never saw any silver version. Is it available in India?

Hey can you please tell me the shop number in pallika from where i can get reliable CD's , and approximate price as well , as there is hell lot of bargaining in pallika.

Well there are Silver PS2 But they are 1000 rs extra those 8000 bugs....WHy do you wanna buy silver color PS2. You will need a silver stand with it ..which will again cost you extra..Silver memcard...God.....Anyway your money....

Well i have never tried watching movies on my PS2..have seperate DVD player for that so cant say..Why do you wanna Watch movies on PS2 and use/depreciate its lens when you can get DVD players as cheap as 2000 bugs...Better keep it for playing games only....Best of luck...
