| The Playstation 2 Thread: Questions, tips, prices etc. I know this topic wont have many hits, coz I've not heard many BHPians talk about this game, the only one I knew is not really seen anymore. Anyway. How many people around here own the PS2, and are interested in GranTurismo Games. Coz the GT4:Prologue (the demo sorta game of the full game to be released fall this year), is now available here *English Version*. And I just finished all the licence tests at the moment my score is 12 Golds, 10 Silvers and a buncha Bronze Medals.. 3 more cars to go. Then would open all the cars in the game for the arcade mode. GT game fans, ask any question you would like to ask abt the game, I'll be more than GLAD to answer your questions. ps - Other AutoGamers Please keep your Backsides out of this topic. Some more info : NFSU2 Supporter/Compare : Brooke Burke (yeah she's hot, but thats it) GT4 Supporters/Compares : Tiff Needel, Vicky Butler Henderson, Richard Hammond (and all the best motoring drivers). So guess for yourself which is better. Though I'll buy both the moment they're out NFSU2 and GT4. Coz one is street racing and 1 is track racing. ps - dont mean to start a flame war or anything, its just u dont seem to know what to compare to what.. so i thought i'll clear ur doubts, actually project gotham racing 2 for xbox is the only real competetor to gt games and its got enzo and many other car licences but the fact is its already shutdown. Coz of lack of units (games) sold. | |

| If you have some time, you should Check this link out.. . Its 14 page long article about the GT4 that'll be released in november. Just go thru it 1s atleast. Its worth reading. And as far as realism is concernd these guys make F1 Simulators for FIA. So Bahrain and Shaghai were first played on Polyphony Digitals (makers of GranTurismos) Simulators by all current F1 drivers. So you can imagine how close to realism it is. And the Nurburgring Nordschliefe track in this game is so real that real LeMan drivers practice on it b4 their Race. (errmmm.. no no I am not a Sony or a Polyphony Digital Salesman!  )By the way ShanMan, that is the Tsukuba Circuit. All the Circuits in this demo are real locations. Fuji Raceway, Tsukuba Circuit, NewYork Times Square, Cita de Aria (mind blowing modeling of this amazing Italian Town on a hill) and Grand Canyon Rally circuit. And yes after finishing a race while you are watching the replay you will feel as if you are watching a BestMotoring Video. But for an average gamer it is a pain in the back side, coz if you lose the racing line or dont kiss the apex while cornering.. you either on the gravel or touch the barriers which causes a 10 second penalty.. which could be annoying as far as gaming is concerend! Yeah Graphics are MindBlowing.! And this is just the 50% of the real game!  And if you want to see the attention to detailing : check out the brake discs on this Ford GT.. Cool? or HHoTT? |

| Well actually they havent released an official list yet, these are probably going to make it in the game and a few more. An Unofficial source has said there'd be probably 700+ Cars from Different Eras. So its not just a Racing Game, its a Car Encyclopedia. Though it has been confirmed that Ferraris and Porsches wont be in GT4 but will probably be in GT5 for PS3 (almost confirmed). Well I should mention Porsches have been in almost all GranTurismos in the form of RUF and a 360 was there in the form of Tommy Kiarra (i think). And I am sure by the time the game releases they'll add almost all BMWs and Mercs available at the moment. I will be getting GT4 : BMW Series 1 Virtual Drive (Demo Game available at BMW Dealers in UK). It only has the 1 Series and 3 tracks available (Nurb'Ring, NYC and Costa di Amalfi (Capri). ) Will definetly try to put in a short review as soon as I get my HANDS ON it.. Its developed on the latest GT4 Code. Also will try to get ScreenShots if possible. |
