earlier I used to use Norton 2003 which could notprotect me PC from mydoom virus even after installing patches. So i switched over to Network Associates/McAfee corporate edition 7 which could solve it with ease.

Symantec Antivirus Coporate Edition. However, its not effective against the trojans, spyware, etc. For those i am using a Zone Alarm firewall downloaded from download.com and it works beautifully.

Suggest you keep a Norton parked inside your machine. More so if you're getting files from outside.
Which Mac (17 inch Powerbook??) by the way and what specs?

Hey,
Well,i use the AVG 6.0 as well as Norton. But less of Norton as at times it does'nt scan perfectly and has this problem of shutting down automatically in between scanning.

Very old thread exhumed, I see...here's what I use:

Zone Alarm Security Suite 6.0.667.000 (Personal Firewall, Intrusion Detection, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Instant Messaging Security, Privacy Protection, Ad Blocking)

Ad Aware 1.06r1 Personal

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4

Pest Patrol 4.4.4.81

In addition to all this, I keep checking my security online regularly at Steve Gibson's www.grc.com (Shields Up!).......

I'm PARANOID

PS: In case you're curious about all this stuff, especially the anti-spyware stuff, check out http://spywarewarrior.com/asw-test-guide.htm
