Have always used a Symantec antivirus program from the days I first owned a computer. They might be a little resource hungry but have never given me reason to switch to another AV software. Presently running on Notron 360. Its a cool one, as it protects, backs up and optimises my computer 24/7.

AVG free edition works many times better then most commercial available ones.
Along with a tiny freewares combofix.exe & Hijackthis.exe for those occasional wiping of spywares which none of the Antivirus can remove no matter how expensive it is.

Im using eset nod32 antivirus. It scores really well in heuristics tests. And doesnt use too much of the computers processing power.
Was using kaspersky before this.

Kaspersky for 500 bucks? wow, where do you get it? is it just the AV or the Internet security suite?
I Was using avast for the last 2 years, but i installed Kaspersky trial version last week, and it found some 15 viruses residing happily on my computer. I even tried NOD32 before that, it found no viruses.

Dont go for it Hrishikesh, buy Kaspersky, its ages ahead of that Quickheal crap.
Kaspersky has been in the Top 3 Antivirus in the world for quite some time now.Speaks a lot for itself.

Try commodo.

I never knew people bought software in India. Good to know they do. I use the free Commodo firewall with defense plus which is available for free download for individual users.
I think you will not need an anti-virus if you have installed this. i know firewalls and anti virus are different ends of software but try this out and then try infecting it by going to warez sites.

Free Firewall Protection Software Best Firewall Computer Security Free Personal Firewall

Bye and wear your seat belts.
