Its AVG free edition as virus protection and Zone Alarm free edition as firewall on my computer. Does the job well. Have been using this for several years now.

Using Avast (Free) + Spybot S&D (Free) + Zonealarm F Wall (Free) for 5+ years. No problems so far. But I think our surfing habits are even more important than the softwares.

Avast 4.8 if I am on Windows. I'm usually on Linux (Ubuntu 8.10) which is almost never a target of viruses.

The best thing i like about Kaspersky is that it does its job very efficiently, and you hardly even know its there. I used to use Norton initially, but it was a pain and used to literally strangle system resources.

Between i am running on Kaspersky Version 7, which i had purchased at Rs.525/- for 3 licences. I donated the remaining two licences to my friends for free.

Lucky you.
I'd inquired for that a month ago. The re-seller quoted 1700 for one. And said his that the marketing people would contact if there was a "substantial" order.

Where did you get it for Rs 525/- ?
Did you buy it online , or from store in Bangalore ?

Guys, the reason i got it at that price is because it was not the latest version. The latest version is Version 9 IIRC.

I bought the pack from a retail store in Bangalore in Marathalli, called Sogo Computers near Marathalli bridge.

Between, the are some online stores which also offer you a similar price for the latest version, plus delivery charges of Rs.50/- or so. I didnt realize i was not buying the latest version, but it hasnt let me down though.

I use ESET Security - Professional Edition + SpyBot + Registry Mechanic + Speed Up My Pc

ESET is cracked for 67 years and its already 2 years old. Its good, light on resources and scans efficiently. Others are just support software to clean junk that accumulates through surfing the net.

I don't use any Anti-virus.Anti-virus really don't help as they are marketed. I have configured my computer firewall through iptables. And I have configured my another old computer where it displays live connections, packets-status, logging status etc..

ESET, its cracked, and i feel kaspersky is good, but it takes more resources. ESET almost equal to kaspersky, but light on resources

Norton on my laptop, McAfee on the desktop.
Just got a notification that the anitvirus on my laptop picked up the 'Confiker' virus. Ran 3 scans in succession, and so far so good.
