Is this the complete version ? has it been launched and if not when ?
The graphics have definitely gone by leaps and bounds.
The prologue i found it to be too boring. Hope this game is more fun.
Would love some excitement all the way.

What Polyphony released last month was just a demo version of the GT5. You can download it off the Playstation store for free. This demo has only one track - the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - and only 2 cars - a stock 370Z and a tuned 370Z. The only race mode available is the time trial where you try to set the best laptime possible. There's a leaderboard where you can see how you compare with other racers in your region. I am not sure if India is part of any GT5 demo region.

The general idea is that the fastest 20 racers, as of January 24, from each region compete among themselves at a later date and the winners (19 in total) from each region are then pitted against each other in a real life 5-day race driver training session at Silverstone. Two drivers out of these 19 undergo another extensive training program which qualifies them for an international racing license. And one will go onto race in a full season of the European Gt4 Cup in a real Nissan 370Z

There is no concrete news on the release date of the full version of GT5. It was slated for a March 2010 release in Japan but even this has been postponed now.

That would be great. I just need to update my PS3 firware to get online access. My PSN id is vtecguy.

Another option is to have a time attack with a simgle car/track and post the fastest lap times. We could even exchange the fastest lap data so that others can see how how it was done and race against it on their system. This will not only improve gaming skills but also help people understand racing lines better.

Any idea about when the game is coming to india ? Has it been released first world wide ?
If so when ?
I love this game for its drivablity, dynamics and of course the graphics. There was one game i think came close to this and that is the need for speed shift.
The sound of the cars in this game is true to life.
Really amazing.

Hi guys,
I have a GT5 Prologue copy with me which I updated to SpecIII.
By the way I had some queries which I hope some one can answer.

How do I play the saved videos of gameplay on the pc and convert them so that I can upload on the net.

Also is it possible to perform a drift with the controller? I am not able to turn the steering wheel to a greater angle. It feels restricted even if I fully depress the sticks.
Has any one of you done it?

I think you will need some sort of a tv tuner card which will let you connect your ps3 to your pc.

Drifting with the controller is possible to an extent but nowhere as good as what your can do with the wheel and pedals.

The game software is designed to calculate steering angle based on vehicle speed, so its impossible to get the turning angle you need at all times. This also affects your laptimes since the car doesn't turn in as sharply as you would want it to.

Data Logger Visual Tech - This lets you use the telemetry from your real-life lap and let gt5 create a visual replay as to how it would have looked from various angles.

Video showing the difference between GT5 Prologue and GT5

Arta NSX Indi race track (Just when it looked like other games were catching up, they've taken the graphics to an entirely new level)

WoW!!

This was the only reason I got my PS3.

Now I need to start saving to get my hands on a wheel.
How is the Logitech wheel (the one with clutch), does it support the use of clutch with GT5.Any one using it?

I don't like how the car handles with the controller. I can't get keep the steering stable.
By the way I cleared A,B&C classes and reached the S class.

Has any one drifted yet? I am not able to (I used BMW M3)
