yes all the functions work but have currently disabled the phone function as i was expecting a SW Unlock soon and wanted to test it. i got it for 50000 Rs = $648 for iphone including american taxes + 80$ for delivery + 35% custom tax (i dont remember the exact figure).

i needed to pay such an amount because i got it sent from states from a friend. but if u buy it from there it will only cost u $648
35% Custum duty , Duty on phones is 4% of the total amount , you've paid too much .

What i have heard....After you buy the thing you have to register it with apple and cingular....which is done by itunes.... so if you not plan to register it you simply dont connect to yr itunes library..which means you can transfer songs on it so whats the use..i would wait it to be launched in india..so you can use all the features

I Used the the second method to unlock the iPhone and i dint register with at&t to activate the iphone. yes m4ugr8 u r correct in Normal circumstances you have to register with at&t to activate it but there are various methods of bypassing it and making the servers believe it is the real deal i myself have tried 5 of them for me and my friends and all have activated successfully. And after that when you connect it to iTunes it allows you to sync everything automatically (which means everything in your library) and not manually ( which allows you to drag and drop the files you want on to the iphone). Let me remind you that the iPhone as of YET doesnt support BLUETOOTH FILE TRANSFERS which will be fixed hopefully with future updates. iTunes not only allows you to sync Songs, Photos, Videos, Playlists and Podcasts but also is the only way to sync Contacts. it also gives you the option of syncing bookmarks and calender entries.

if you want pictures to see the iphone how it is then pm and ill post it soon

That's pretty cheap. A shade over 16k. But is it true that it doesn't have Bluetooth?

And they've given a $100 Apple Store Credit to folks who bought the iPhone at the higher price during the 10 days immediately before the price-cut. (Note: It could be 20 days -- my memory is not as good as it used to be). The credit is issued by SMS to the iPhone.
