They all turn yellow eventually. Degrees and duration might vary, but none stay transparent forever.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Purple iPhone 12 seems to be in a lot of demand. Purchased the Early Access ticket and put purple in wishlist. From what I observed one purple is being released every 1 hr. I failed to get at 2:10pm but finally managed to bag one at 3:18pm. Very excited to get my first iPhone. All other colours were priced at 49,999 but Purple is priced at 50,999.

I know Jio and Airtel offer esim. What about BSNL?
What case do you recommend? I'm not going to purchase the official cases from Apple. Is LOXXO Liquid Silicone Case any good?

They will turn yellow. Consider the cover as a consumable and change every 6-12 months or learn to live with it.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Probably a dumb question, but any idea if the discounted prices will remain after the BBD sale is over?

Also, do you have to get an e-SIM for the iPhone? Doesn't it work with a regular SIM?

I think you might have the offer till Nov 4th maybe with a couple thousand bucks in price difference.

As Apple India is offering free Airpods with iPhone 12 till Nov 4th, iPhone 12 64GB variant is priced at 65900 and the free Airpods are worth 14900, effectively the cost for the phone itself is 51000. Flipkart is offering the deal at 49900, although for Purple variant at 50900. So, after BBD sale, I expect the price to be 50900 or 51000 irrespective of the colour till Nov 4th. I can't predict after that.

You can use only one physical sim card with an iPhone starting from iPhone X. The other sim has to be an e-sim. But in China, you can use two physical sim cards, wonder why that is?

Re: The iPhone Thread

I am an android (LG V30+) user looking to buy an iPhone due to lack of good android options. I always prefer buying the current generation model. iPhone 13 costs 74k after HDFC discount. Surprised to see iPhone 12 at an effective price of 53.5k. If I am not wrong, usually they discount this much for an N-1 model. (Used 128gb for an apple to apple comparison. I hardly use camera. So the 64gb variant is good enough. This costs 48.5k. Looks value for money)
Two questions.
1. In the spec, I couldn't find much differences. What are the main differentiators? Is iPhone 13 worth the extra 20.5k?
2. Anybody moved from LGV30+ to iPhone?. Did you feel display a downgrade? ( V30+ is 1440 x 2880, 537 ppi , iPhone 1170 x 2532, 460 ppi)

Re: The iPhone Thread

Received my 12 last night. Kudos to flipkart for same day delivery. The phone feels really light and compact for me after coming from the OnePlus 7T. Still need to learn my way around IOS but loving the simplicity of it all so far.

They apparently will open the package at your doorstep during delivery to check for damages. Hoping for a hasslefree experience.

Also booked the 20W Apple C type charger for some 1760INR. Hate this new trend of no charger brick with phones

I got up at 12am to order the iphone 12. It went out of stock from my cart the second it was 12:00. Tried till 12:45 and went to sleep thinking its a scam. Anyways i ordered the iphone 12 128gb for 55000 when i got up the next day(Did not havbe any card which had bank offers). My friend who stayed up till 2am got the phone at the initial price.

Hi,
Congratulations first of all
From initial usage, how difficult is it to adjust from the 90 Hz refresh rate to the 60 Hz in the iPhone 12?

The UI animations in IOS are done very well and feels better than most 60Hz android displays. The main difference I see is when I am scrolling through a page with a lot of text, it looks a bit rough compared to 90Hz but unless you have them side by side, it wouldn't be too noticeable. I have already gotten used to the 60Hz more or less.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Why is the 12 or 12 mini not available on amazon? Is the battery life of 12 mini too bad to live with?

Well the 13 gives much better battery life and better cameras. I don’t think you will find fault with the iPhone’s display both 12 &13 sport nice displays.

Re: The iPhone Thread

So today i traded in my 2017 iphone 7-32 for iphone white 12-64 on Flipkart. Effective price came to 39k post trade in deal and icici card discount. Perhaps this is the best deal you could get on this device as of today.

I'm using 12 Mini and it lasts me around 15 hrs. Its very heavy usage with lots of calls, Instagram, 2 Whatsapps and mostly on mobile data.

If I keep background refresh off - especially on weekends, battery lasts almost 20 hrs.

This is crazy, my 12 pro max will barely do 7 hours of screen time with max brightness and heavy camera/gaming use. Also have you seen significant health degradation on your phone? Mines dropped almost 20% in just 9 months and I never abuse the battery, never deep discharge, still
