@ red, try ipmart forum, i think all the apps which work with n95 etc will also work with this. They have a great collection. I am looking for nice themes, let me know if you get any. it has to be fp2 compatable.

You may be right on the european prices. But remember Airtel and Vodafone will be locking the i-phone for 2 years too as informed by the operators. So it should be the same pricing like the US. Now a 2 year contract or a 2 year sim lock will give the same effect to the end-user, or am I missing something here ?

Locking is fine but we still dont know if there is any monthly commitment or not. In US the minimum monthly commitment is around 70$.

The irony is that a lot of people still believe the $199 and $299 price tags. Take the commitment cost into account and you're tying yourself up for a lot more.

Of course AirTel and Voda still tie you in for iPhone-specific plans even after they take 31k/37k from you. THAT is the right royal ride.

True. By Dec we will be getting the option in hand of changing the subscriber by keeping the same number but if we opt for this we r just stuck! For me thats more of a pain then the price!

@harry... dont take it to heart dude! The US prices are with 2 year contract and hence the phone is subsidized. In europe an unlocked iphone without any contract obligations retails for 550+ Euro's and if you convert it to Indian rupees its about the same.

Extreme as far as i know the 2 year contract is with Voda and Airtel as well. Moreover the grey price for a 16gb is 23k so i don't see the need of getting tied up and paying 14k more for that.
I am really happy with my N95 8gb so no worries for me atleast:D

navinji i had seen it with a nokia dealer in Noida so i presume it should be available everywhere now.

Who ever is planning to buy a Nokia N82 be aware.. the speaker issue seems to be common problem with the Black N82. I have heard similar speaker issues with atleast 2 N95 8GB users.

I have been using E51 from atleast 6 months, no such problem Jyothi!

I bought the Nokia E66 on August 9. I am loving it!

But, the Navigation is crazy! For those of you who know the roads from Navi Mumbai to Chembur, the navigation asked me to take a non-existant left at the Chembur-Mankhurd link road. Even if I did take the left and drove through wild grass, it would have put me straight on the railway tracks! :Shockked:

And the 2GB memory card that I got with the phone got corrupted on the fourth day. This resulted in the maps application not working. Bought a new card and now things are smooth.

I upgraded from a Motorola Razr V3i.
