@shuvd I would suggest the O2 Atom life.

@ D.V.R - Actually, I'm changing my Atom.

If you can stand the

1. lack of keyboard
2. shiny body
3. Non-expandable 4GB Memory,

nothing like a HTC Touch Diamond right now!:)

Its a good phone. There were issues of the phone being slow. HTC gave an official update a few days back and it shud be good. I have used it and the phone is neat, however prone to scratches cause of shiny body.

U can get a 2-3 weeks used one for 22k here in Hyderabad. that would be a better deal than 27K otherwise

Rajeev

Thanks rajeev, I think its already available for around 26k in Bangalore now, for a brand new piece. I am a bit worried about the scratches and all that also, and dont want to laminate the full phone, only the screen. lets see how it goes. will push forward the decision, till I get soem favourable reviews on the new update, which I believe is only for HK as of now.

I have configured my office mails on my HTC Touch and had chosen manual synchronization. But I still notice that Activesync starts running on the background and GPRS connected automaticaly. Can anyone let me know how to stop this?

Your answer lies in this post of DerAlte

MS Direct Push keeps an SSH connection alive for the Push to work. You need to switch off OTA ActiveSync (Direct push uses this) for it to stop reconnecting. BB Connect on WiMo devices also piggy-backs over OTA ActiveSync. Not sure of BB Connect on Nokia.

If that does not work, contact shyamhegde to find out what he did

Thanks DerAlte, that is a useful information indeed.

Let me leave it like this at the moment and see how it goes. I will think of controlling it, if I exceed my data plan.

(As new condition, with bill and nine months warranty).
I am looking at replacing it with a HTC Touch (I just can't get on with S60). Is it still worth buying at approx Rs14K?

Contact Viper. He is also thinking of selling his E51 so maybe he can guide you about the price expectation. I guess 7-8k would be reasonable, if the condition is good. New one goes for 11.3k right now.

Sold my Nokia E51 for Rs8K, got a HTC Touch for now. I will probably upgrade to a HTC Touch Pro or SE X1 once they are released and bugs/faults ironed out.

Hi Raja is that the touch diamond or first gen touch?

HI, I have a Nokia N95 8gb which in my opinion is really good. Had just compared with HTC touch and Honestly wasn't impressed by HTC at all. Anyone else using the N95 8gig?

for me, what puts the HTC Touch forward of n95 is the touchscreen and the ability to change anything in the phone.

Otherwise I am sure that N95 has much more than the touch.

@mav2000
It's the first gen Touch (enhanced Elfin version).
I was tempted by the Diamond, but with the Touch Pro due within the next few months and SE X1 late this year/early next year; I am going to use this as a stop gap measure.
The N95 is a very good phone, but the Touch is a different purpose phone. Some of the bugs in S60 drove me crazy, like when you receive/miss a call, if the number is in contacts, it doesn't tell you whether the call was from home/office/mobile. You have to open up the log and look up the number to find out where it came from.

Could any iPhone user please write down a review of the iPhone.
