In other words, you need a phone that hasn't been invented yet!!

Wait for some time till they invent phones that can be implanted under your skin. Maybe you can invent one that fits into a dental cavity.. LOL

PS: Maybe you are looking for Google Android aka HTC Dream?

I have used Blackberry forgot the model number (8300/8310). And to be frank its an amazing phone. Very fast, no hangups ever, easy to access everything.

Wi-fi was a breeze, used to connect faster than any device i have ever owned. Emailing and browsing was pretty fast.

I will recommend Blackberry to anyone looking for a Fast / Business phone.

you want choices? I will give you choices.

1. Try the google android. It's not windows, not symbian and not a blackberry. Its google's own os running on top of Linux and available now.

2. Neonode N2. Last of the remaining windows ce phones. Its one of the smallest in the market. How to get it? PM me. :P

3. be hardcore linux. try the A1600. not a bad touchscreen phone and is good value too. I suppose E6 is also still available.

4. If you have problem with touchscreen, try the motorola Zn5. Good camera and wi-fi on a linux mobile platform.

5. Have the money? buy motorola Aura. Its got a one of a kind Round LCD and is atleast thrice your budget.

6. Pre-book a palm-pre. It's going to be the return of palm as said by all analysts.

7. Got guts? get a Freerunner and use a different OS flavour every month. There are already 8 OS flavours that run on it to my knowledge.

8. There's another list of non-smart but intuitive phones if you are interested starting with Benq M7(last of the Brew GSM phones), SE W980(just love the style) and Philips X560(runs off AA batteries).

Get a brick err.. Communicator. Or if you are interested in trying something new, you might just want to have a look at the New LG 10000. looks interesting. Take it and give us a review :P. Only hitch is its supported by the Reliance network.

Basically you have ruled out most of the high end phones. Buy a TATA or Reliance pay phone and put it in your car. Connect a normal handset (not the coin one) and you have a cool cheap phone. Call rates are also good.

Nokia E63 ?

It has wi-fi and 1500 amh battery (the largest in it's class), also reception is superlative.

Totally not cool man.

Blackberry interface is there for a reason, its because of its functionality. If you want lovely rainbow colors when you're typing a number and want a nice sound played everytime you open the phone buy a samsung.

i appreciate the answers. some solid replies.

my girlfriends brother has the bb bold. I am not against it, but they could ahve injected some zing into the menus. besides it way too overpriced for a phone with its feature set, particularly when I am not going to be activating the BB service!

As for the E-series of Nokia, i have had the e71, so no e63 and e75 for me!
No communicator either. Its antiquated now!

WHAT has caught my eye today is the fact that engadget has released the blurrycam shots of the Storm 2 today!!
I like what I am seeing, and if it has a capacitive touchscreen, I am picking it up when it comes.

Besides that I dont see any candidate worth enough..

ANy views on the LG KM900? people abroad have been raving about it. they say, the s class interface is awesome and it is a TRUE iphone competitor. it has a large capacitive touchscreen, a res of 800*480 and a beautiful 5 Mp schneidder krueznach lens. im drooling, but its an LG. poor resale value!

Lg prada 2 is also NICE!

thanks for the advice devarshi. quite a few names (i knew about most) but that was helpful to refresh the memory.

as far as the pre is concerned, it can NOT be used on any gsm network in the world other than sprint. hence one will have to wait till there is a crack/unlock (if there IS one)

i shall highlight my options now:
bb storm 2/htc pro 2 (provided it comes with a capacitive touch screen)/lg arena km900

How about E90? If you have used communicator, E90 would be the next logical upgrade.

Guys i need to upgrade from my Nokia N78. I need something thats sleek and can play decent music. Cam is not a priority. Budget is around 20k

Also no touchscreen devices unless they have a keypad as well.

Any good phones are ok except from the n-series.

A gsm version is on the cards as soon as the Sprint version picks up.

Also try to get a Motorola limo or a SE proprietary and mod the software. That should be fun.
