As Ampere posted, iPad 2 has been officially Announced. It would be available in US stores from March 11th & would start shipping worldwide from March 25th.

One thing is for sure. Apple is second name for trend. Just when competition thought they were just catching up, Apple has widened the gap again.

In fact Jobs also clarified the rumour of IPAD3 saying there wont be any more release this year.

If you want it easier than in the video above (only if your OS is below 4.0.1), go to safari on your ipad, make sure its connected to internet and visit JailbreakMe you'll get the swipe screen (similar to the one you get to unlock from sleep) and BANG.. job done mate. yeah its that easy. If you open this website on your computer it'll show you instructions on how to JB but when you open it on any of your idevice it shakes its majic wand.

PS:Make sure you have backed-up your device before you try this.

Note to self: enough of instructing others, go and do it on your device you lazy bum.

How about on 1st January 2012, which is about ten months. On a serious note, every time any competitor try to close in the gap Apple comes up with a new model and widens it by miles again.

Hey All,

Just got my iPad 16 GB Wifi. It took me 2 hours in line at my local Best buy and this was all I was offered. I was about 35th in line.

And really, I never thought I would stand in line for a piece of tech (when online options are available) but I had to because ordering online required 4-5 weeks of delivery time!

Some quick thoughts on the new iPad;
Pros:
1. Beautiful, beautiful design. Feels good to hold in hand. Unbelievably thin!
2. Snappy - every app opens quick and overall feels very fast (all due to that A5 900 Mhz chip utilized effectively)
3. Nice 10 Hr Battery Life
4. Camera kit worked fine with my Canon raw files. Although no conversion to Jpeg within IOS itself.

Cons:
1. Still feels a wee bit heavy in hand
2. Smart covers are gimmicky (will still have to buy a proper case)
3. You still have to sync it with a PC - not a PC replacement.
4. Screen is not high resolution
5. Cameras basically suck. And right now no other option than Facetime for VC with anyone (unless they have a Facetime capable iDevice) - Hopefully apps will arrive soon.

Nope just get a micro sim or cut the regular sim to microsim and you are ready to go

Are you sure, as far as i know there is no India launch planned for a long while to come They still have not resolved the issue with launch dates in their priority markets yet, as far as i understand!

Before going ahead and updating your Ipad, did you update itunes itself?? Make sure your itunes is updated to latest version before updating OS on any idevice. Also make sure you have a reliable internet connection during upgradation and your PC is not behind a firewall that can block itunes.

have updated itunes, the net connection is reliable, removed the firewall too. but same response. checked on a few other forums, and concluded that this is a issue with win 7 64 bit. will try on a diff computer and see.
