Update: KitKat for Nexus 7 wifi (both 2012 and 2013) and Nexus 10 starts rolling out today. Other devices will follow soon.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Guys,

I am facing sync issue with my google calender since last couple of days. First i thought that since my data pack is over and i am on EDGE its causing the issues, but even on wifi its not happening.

I tried everything from removing sync and re adding to clear calender data etc.

Everything else sync's just fine.

Attaching pic for reference, any pointers?

I had same issues, this is what done the trick for me.

1) Disabled calendar sync for the account.
2) Forced stop calendar app
3) Clear data/cache for calendar app and S Planner app (for samsung devices)
4) Re-enabled sync.

Everything was back to normal after doing these

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Updated my Sprint htc One to 4.3 It was rooted so had to relock and then install the RUU. Cleaned up all storage info. Now I see bootloader relocked and S-off. What does it mean - can I root from here, or have to go through the full process, even though revolutionary have revone which bypasses the htc route to get S-off.

Yes. But you have to wait for some time for a daily use ROM (for 4.4)

Did anyone try the Cover Lock Screen?

Though I had registered for the invitation on their site long back, I didn't get any. So, I went ahead with downloading the .apk file and started using it.

I'm using it since last week. Pretty good concept but they need to get implementation right. Their location detection is not as good as aviate. I need to keep wifi on all the time for Cover to detect my location. Also, it's very eager to switch to Out mode when I'm at home or work. But it can only get better.

Even I started using it a week back. I didn't post on the forum thinking you or someone else will post. I'm pretty much impressed with the way the apps on the lock screen change in accordance with the usage pattern.

Agree with you. I had been thinking the reason why location detection does not working fine in my case is that my home and work place is hardly 1 km apart.

I've changed the settings so that whenever I connect to the home WiFi network, the launcher goes into Home mode.

PS : Did you get the invitation? I'm yet to get mine.

Scenario 1: You have been using WA for a while with the registered sim. Later you just remove the sim card and use wifi for data, WA would work fine.

Scenario 2: Likewise, but you insert another sim card, WA would ask you to re verify your number.

This is what I have experienced.
