Why? I am a former IP5 user. Why would I check on IP4/IP4S pricing? I was given a IP4 for free, which I gave to wife.

I thought you said, you were looking for Defy change. So I suggested, with Iphone5 now there, 4/4S would price lower and maybe worth picking it up. (I don't know what the prices are BTW. I just had a thought)

I got an IP5 on Sept 21th, the day it was released in US. Not impressed, except for LTE, which is not in India. I don't like the same old iOS interface. I may be open to Windows Phone 8 though.

Lumia 920 or HTC 8X/S (depending on your budget).

That is a really old phone.

I want to replace defy once it completes 2 years. I need a worthy successor. But I am unable to find a modern phone with similar size and better specs.

Atrix 2 may be old, but rock solid and ticks all the right boxes. Plus a JB build has been released recently. I don't need to market it to you because you have Defy and know the capabilities of a Motorola.

Try paytm app, also I use mobile recharge app to compare the plans.

How do i change the number format from that of USA to India, on Nexus 4? I have selected the locale as English-UK, even then i see the numbers in the format of XXX-XXX-XXXX

Pl. advise.

Nishant,

Is JB build a non-official release? Because I thought Moto said no JB for Atrix2.
BTW I can surely vouch for Atrix 2. Been using it for a year now, on stock. Works very well.

S3 mini has a dual core processor from ST ericsson called NovaThor. It is strictly ok and does not perform as well as the Qualcomm Krait processors.

If it will be available in India for 18K, the S3 mini is a good choice. Everyday usage will be decent.

Awesome news for Micromax A110 owners - we get the "unofficial official" Jelly Bean ROM - from another telecom company like Micromax in Germany.

Read up and update! I will be doing this next week

Suggest an Android phone within 15K(no micromax etc) preferably dual core.

Shortlisted Sony Xperia U and Sola.

This phone is for sister and phone usage will be basic like few games, text, songs etc.

I would not recommend the sola. I have a sola and am struggling with it. Battery life is poor and performance is generally not up to the mark. I got it at the time of launch for 18k. I think it's available for 14k now. But still don't feel it's worth. Got a galaxy s duos for my wife and pretty impressed with it. Saw it for 12.5k on infibeam yesterday.

It's a leaked official release. BB owners would identify with those terms. Basically not for India or specific carriers but officially available otherwise.

This is an unofficial JB rom developed by Moto China. I've been running it for over a month now and it's super stable. Not had any issues till date and all the JB goodness like project butter & google now are brilliant.

Head over to the A2 section on xda and flash right away !:D

anyone using FXP for sony phones?

If I want to update my CM10 rom then do I just need to flash zip using cwm, or flash boot.img using fastboot too?

If its the latter, then should I flash kernel before or after flashing the rom? Because I've read there are wifi issues if you flash it before.

Is wipe necessary?
