I tried auto-sync but it didn't work.

Not sure what your query is. But, I assume you want your phone contacts to be copied/viewed in your google/gmail account. If yes, the procedure is:

Goto your contacts on the phone and press the options button. Under the options, you will see a tab called import/export contacts.. press on that. Select option "send namecard via".

After this select the contacts you want to transfer/copy. Press the send button and use the sending option as Gmail. Send a mail to your own gmail id.

Next, log onto to your gmail account through a pc. When you open the inbox you will see the mail that you have sent to self. Open the mail. You will see an attachment with .vcf extension and also an option that will say import to contacts. Once you click on it, the contacts get merged with your google contacts.

Cheers

What's your device build? The takju update was released first. Yakju update was rolled out yesterday

I'm on takju. Got the update this morning. It was a 47 MB download IIRC.

Good news. I have two htc's Incredible 2 (CDMA) and Wildfire S. I am really delighted with both. They have worked impeccably for almost two years. htc Sense is the real icing on the cake. Only one grouse Android 4.x for the DINC is still work in progress. I can use the CM versions (9 & 10), but that will involve going back to Froyo, relocking the bootloader, do the official unlock (I am unlocked with AlphaRevX) and then up the road again. Not worth the effort.

Just got an ebay 6.5% flat valentine day discount coupon.

EBAYSAMU65

Galaxy S3 is 28990 and Note 2 is 34800 before applying this coupon code.

Happy V day and enjoy

I have got the update notification, but have no access to wifi now. Is there any way to force the update via 3G ?

Do you have to force the update via 3G? My phone had already downloaded the update and notified me once the download was complete. The download happened via 2G (EDGE/GPRS).

Hey thanks it worked perfectly.
I wanted my sim card contacts to be added to my google contacts so that I can import them to some other phone in future, or to the same phone if I wipe the data by mistake.

Cheers.

@fiat_tarun and @Desmosedici Now I am doubting whether the download did indeed happen via WiFi or not. I don't remember turning on my WiFi at home though

No update notification for me. I am on 4.2.1 yakju

Hi I am using a samsung galaxy S2 and it still in running well on its official stock android 2.3.3 version. I never got around to update the phone and its worked without an issue till now. Now I thought it was time to freshen up things but am clueless on how to update it. The option in Settings>about phone> update software shows that there is no update available. So how do I update the phone? Am I doing something wrong or is it too late for me to update the phone without rooting it now?

Try the method of force stopping & clearing data of google services framework, restart the phone and then check for an update. That's what worked for me. Instead of the re-start you can also try flight mode on /off.

Have you tried connecting your phone to KIES ? Does it show an update there ?
