So am on 4.1.2 for the first time ever on a stock phone (no proper rooting instructions available yet). What do I do, and what do I get on the stock firmware until roms start coming by?
Any idea when the 4.1.2 update comes for galaxy note in India?

Which phone is it? Rooting instructions are usually out within a week of availability.
Just got my Xperia z from Sony world. Paid 38k for it. My most expensive phone ever by a country mile. However build quality and performance are from a different planet compared to my previous ZTE blade. Shall post photos tomorrow.

38K? Did you get some discount? Sony showroom selling lesser than street price is a surprise.

Xperia Z. Rooting instructions sound iffy at best right now. Will go stock until Sony releases 4.2 and then will probably go ahead and root.

1k discount over mrp lol:. They got 10 phones in the first lot and all are spoken for it seems.
Defy+ users here - have you tried White Rabbit ROM? How is it vis a vis Wajkiui?
I'm kinda bored of MIUI and was thinking of which ROM to try for a few days. Not too keen on JB builds. My last experience tells me they're battery hogs and laggy.
Also, if I have to flash CM7.2 then I've to downgrade to Froyo kernel right
Guys, looking for a new handset for wife,she is using samsung Wave currently on Bada OS.Looking for touch screen, her usage is normal mails, FB,WSAP,net surf a bit.
Havent tried or seen micromax handsets in friends or groups so no idea about the quality and services for this brand.Budget is aprox 10k to max extended 13K.
Screen is fine if its around 4" or lill less.There are many brands to choose from,
Lava's xolo,Lenevo,Sammy's confusing line up and on.
Please do share your inputs.

If you are considering Lava, Xolo etc I advise you to get the Micromax Canvas HD instead.
It's a great device at an equally great price (~14k).
The older Micromax canvas 2 was a big hit and recently has been upgraded to Jellybean too.
If you really want to stick to phones from the bigger brands, I advise you look at the Samsung Galaxy S Duos, Sony also has some nice android devices in the price range.

Guys, I am using dailyroads voyager as dash cam app in my car, It's working great, but when i see the video on laptop, it doesn't displays speed but when i watch the same video on my phone, Speed is displayed.
Is there any option through which i can get the same on laptop too, or if any other app you guys can suggest for the same ?
