@ajay sarin: I cannot agree more. A Blackberry is addictive.

About the OS I am very reluctant to try out version .0 of any software. It is bound to be buggy. Also, I fully believe do not fix something which is not broken. Unless you want some special feature stick with what you have.

Finally got myself a Bold 9000 for 14K and I am all set to enter the world of Blackberry. Any tips on the absolute must have apps and BB services that I should take. This phone is purely for personal use and I am only going to configure my personal Gmail/Yahoo etc email services on this. I am being offered the unlimited BB access plan for about 425 on a yearly payment of 5K. Is this the best that I can do or is there a better plan. I am using Vodafone.

The biggest pain of BB phones is being unable to sms any information from the Address Book to another user.

Thanks!! Yes it is the annual plan. They even have a 6 month plan that costs half of this. Only thing that is bothering me is what happens if I have to relocate back to Mumbai in a few months. Do they refund the money back or what?

No. This is a special offer for the employees of the company I work for. Normally it is what you have quoted.

It is a brand new Vodafone India locked handset and comes with bill and warranty. The box says imported by Redington india. Vodafone had this offer where they were offering the Bold 9000 for about 18-19K odd. I got one of these and rest of the difference is for my old N73 that I exchanged for it.

There is an app for that Sir! Go to Blackberry app World on your handset and download 'SMS Contact'

Else, PM me your email ID and I'll forward you the app.
