I actually went to ABT guindy and got the rear view mirror replaced for INR 570 (all inclusive)
No extra charge for fitting.

I was a little taken back and decided not to go to MSM because of the fact that the spare parts guy quoted INR 100 for fitting the mirror. Come on it was just three screws.

So I am yet to experience some good service from MSM Guindy.

heard from a friend that, MSM now days are not that good.

I have been using MSM ever since they started and have found that surely their service quality levels have deteriorated.
Lot of new faces with no experience or comprehension skills are pushed to the front line to deal with Customers with a sole objective of getting more business like they have a target to accomplish.
Despite of all this the workshop is very crowded and it is difficult to get the works done unless you know the people around there.
However I would say that they still have some of the old hands who are excellent in diagnostic skills and committed to quality work.
So this balances the others and overall stays stable.
I too want a equitable competition to MSM but am yet to find any as all others are almost the same.

You can try NSK service center which is in Neelangarai. I have been servicing my vehicle there and it has been a good experience till now. Give it a try!!!

Guindy is ideal.
Which would be the best option, ABT or MSM ?
I have never been to MSM, but had been to ABT for some spare replacement and they were very quick in guiding me.
I need a small body work also to be done, which might require insurance claim.
Please reply asap folks.

I bought the car from ABT Guindy and they are practically next door to my office. But still I go to only MSM.

Yes, I agree with comments above. I have tried MSM, ABT and Cars India so far, and to me the best was MSM. They even have free pick up/drop service if the appointment is booked in advance. I found dealing with them very pleasant.

I would recommend going to MSM but please try to be there around 09:00 AM.
It would also be helpful to make an appointment (helps mutually to plan the works).
The key to get good service experience is to get a knowledgeable and skilled Service adviser who can diagnose and cooperate to get best results.
MSM has couple of them and in case of difficulty do not hesitate to go to higher levels who will surely help out.
Please update your experience in any case.

So lets see how it goes.
They said they are open from as early as 7:30AM, but i don't think anyone senior will be there by that time.
They provide free pick up and drop service. Wow (HYUNDAI should be listening)
My work demands me to be in my cabin by 9AM, so i really don't have any options, if I have to personally go to get certain things sorted out.

Do anyone have any experience of claiming insurance for body work when serviced at MSM?

They do more than that! Even if you take the car to them yourself, you can get dropped at / picked up from specific points in their regular shuttle!

I once claimed insurance at MSM for a denting/painting work on a door and it was very smooth. The job cost ~Rs 5000, I had to bear Rs 500 and the balance was settled directly on cashless basis. Mine is Maruti insurance.

Some of the SA are Mr. Shridhar, Mr. Rajasekar. Mr. Wilson.
In case of difficulty, please contact Mr. Chinnaraja or Mr. Madan works manager.

I would recommend around 08:45 to be the best time.
If necessary please fix an appointment on Saturday (which I presume is a holiday).
MSM is open from 07:30 to 18:00 and delivery is possible up to 23:00.
They have shuttle facility, excellent lounge with internet connection, and you will be taken care well.
