Most probably a clearance sale. For either an up coming model or things worse...it's any body's imagination. It's a steal only if the company survives.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

The key features of this cedia sports have been altered also. Some key equipment includes ABS, dual airbags, all round disc brakes, momo steering plus OZ alloys, beige and black dual tone interiors with wood insert, ACC, FABRIC upholstery-beige, kenwood audio with USB/aux-in/CD player (NOT touchscreen), front/ side/ rear skirts and spoiler and trunk spoiler. There is only ONE variant available.

How much I would have loved to see similar reductions in the third Row of the price list. Just being optimistic

I absolutely love this car and one of my closest friends picked up a new one a few months ago. However, i found the rear seat really lacking in under thigh support. The access to the boot and the space is brilliant though.

With a price of under 10L in Blr, I think its a fantastic deal.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

IMO it is a move a lil too late. Now we'll just have to wait and see whether Cedias leave the Mitsu showrooms faster or their shorwooms close down one at a time faster. Even in as late as 2010 this move would have definitely created an impact upon the Mitsubhishi sales charts but now in 2012 when newer and fresher models have come up, I doubt if anyone would be keen on buying the dated looking Cedia. Sure it is a great car and sure it is spacious but yet not many people would wish to invest their money in it.

If Mitsubhishi really wish to come back in the game the only answer is the new Lancer and ofcourse bringing it down with a diesel option or else it may very well go the Outlander way- great car but not many takers.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Does it have the momo steering and OZ alloys? The feature list doesnt mention so. I remember these were deleted from the cedia a while back to introduce a lesser spec variant.

Also, wax and polishing charges for a new car?

Price was not the concern for Cedia/Mitsubishi, its nothing different from Fiat.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Price drop has not yet made its way to Mitsubishi's website. Still showing old prices.

A 7.99 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi pricing translates to just under 10 lakhs on-road even in Bangalore!
(I am using the same ex-showroom difference as before between Bangalore and Delhi, to compute this.)

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Wish Mitsubishi had sensibly reduced the price of this car long back and positioned it a segment lower (ala Optra), atleast then some potential C segment owners would have given a look at it. Selling more units of a product at a lesser price is anyday better than overpricing the product and watch it die a slow death, and inturn spoil the product/brand reputation no matter how good it is.

And where has the lancer gone? Has the production stopped finally?

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

It is a nice move but too late. I wish Mitsu re-starts its operations on its own. They need to start off with couple of small cars. And the Lancer priced between the City and the Civic.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

I don't think there would be many takers for this car. People don't even know such car exists !
Cedia looks pretty old as well.

But yes if that doesn't matter, it looks like a steal for the money.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

Could anyone tell me what was the old price?

Edit
:: From the site, it's close to 1,30,000/- ! Man, that's steep!

From the news that's coming in, there is no price correction happening on Pajero. Instead Pajero Sport will be priced @ 24L [or so] ex showroom!

The cars have been standing in the yards for so long that it will take a team of professionals to get the car to look new !! I feel its justified to charge wax and polishing charges.

Re: Cedia sports price dropped to INR 7,99,000

The perfect recipe to make a comeback. Now all the company needs is a proper Promotion practice in place.

At this price Cedia is a better buy than competition.

I suppose its mostly because these are 2010 models. OZ accessories were removed in 2011. I might be wrong.
