1) Could you let us know if the polestar kit include the engine mods (or) just exterior accessories?
2) Is it officially available from Volvo India (or) are you getting it done from a 3rd party?
3) How much are they charging for it?

- Polestar kit is only remapping software which boosts power by 22 BHP and torque by 50 nm. No styling accessories.
- Its available from Volvo India. Version for 2015 cars yet to be launched.
- Its INR 120 k. Got some discount with other accessories.

Congratulations Raosaheb! Great choice and the car is a real head turner on Indian streets. There is a white one in the layout I live in and it looks simply devastating compared to the rest.

I have a query though, was going through the website and under the "tech and sound" catergory it says there is a Digital Audio Broadcast feature. What exactly is it? Satellite radio? Something like the ole world radio we had in India a few years back?

Test drove one recently. Really liked it. Looks terrific on the outside - definitely a head turner. Interiors are nice and comfortable and the ergonomics are typical Volvo (a good thing!). Performance was nice (if not awesome) and she handled pretty well. Steering "hardness" can be adjusted depending on your preferences and whether you're driving in city traffic or on the highway. Ride was decent but on the stiffer side. Rear was cramped, especially with me (6'+) in the front seat so this isn't ideal for the chauffeur driven or for use as a family car. Great on safety and I actually tried the automatic stopping feature - if the speed is under 15 kph (iirc), there's an obstacle ahead and the driver doesn't press the brakes, the car does a panic braking automatically to bring itself to a halt. Tried it and it worked. The sales team were carrying a plastic cone to carry out the demo

The feature works till speeds of 50 kmph IIRC.

If my memory is right, white colour is a recent offering on V40. It was not available at launch.

Colour is "Crystal White Pearl Effect". Whatever they call, its metallic white and due to water based colour the paint quality is awesome.

What is the current ex-showroom price for this? Shocking news. I was getting this for 32L OTR in November,2013. Have the prices been raised so much? Any discounts?
