Hi Sagar and others,

I am negotiating for a V40 Rdesign diesel and am being offered 3.0 lacs off ex showroom- the OTR in chennai with this comes to 31.5 lacs.

Is there further scope to negotiate.?..will be great if any recent buyers or others in the market can share the discounts available.

Will it be advisable to go ahead with the purchase now or wait for the new model which i understand will be available from March 17...also would expect better discounts on the outgoing v40 then....love to hear your thoughts..

Nice. If you do come by these days, you'll find a dozen odd new XC90's doing the rounds in the city testing Autonomous driving aside of the dozen other camouflaged cars zipping around town. I do visit the museum every once in a while. I'm sure you will agree that it needs a much better location than where it is. it is very non-shouty unlike the BMW Welt in Munich. Even the HQ looks no different than a Govt office building.

Their employees are full of pride though. 98% of the employee parking lot is filled with Volvo's. Porches, Corvettes, supra's do exist but far and few in between. In fact I rent a Volvo from their car sharing program - Sunfleet just so I don't attract stares when I visit their R&D center. other times, I have rented the only stretch Limo Goteborg has - a S80. will take pix next time around.

Thats an awesome deal. Im being quoted that much only for 7 inch screen upgrade. Really tough negotiating price of accessories with the dealer here.

Same pinch! minus the polestar upgrade. Picked up my v40 cross t4 last month. What a car! Im loving it. Add me to this whatsapp group. Would love to discuss some mods. I got front park assist and reverse cam retrofitted by the dealer. Paid through my nose for these mods. Then i just randomly inquired about these mods with the Banglore dealer and they are offering mouth watering discounts. Wish I had done my homework before spending a bomb with these guys in Chennai.
