Maruti, please don't spoil the party by giving names like Fronx.
I am flattened by such a creative and intuitive name. My vote goes for 'S-Team'

Re: Team-BHP Scoop Pics! Maruti YRA / Fronx Hatchback, uncamouflaged!

I don't like the interiors one bit. In fact the the interiors in the Ecosport, Aspire and now the YRA look a bit gaudy and overdone. I would have preferred more mature interiors like the Polo or the i20.Styling wise the car looks decent.

Hopefully Suzuki gives paddle shifters in the CVT version.

Re: Team-BHP Scoop Pics! Maruti YRA / Fronx Hatchback, uncamouflaged!

I am surprised to read that Maruti is planning to offer Fronx with option of 3 petrol engines and 1 diesel engine. Why 3 petrol engines? It will confuse the consumers.

Moreover 2 of the petrol engines are above 1.2L viz. 1.25L and 1.4L. This means that variants of Fronx powered by these 2 engines will attract higher excise duty. Also power output of both these engines is around 90 bhp so 1.4L is not offering any substantial increase in output.

The good part though is this the launch of its new 1L Boosterjet turbocharged engine.

Your first pray seem answered - YRA most likely will not be called Fronx. Maruti trademark other names.

Urban Dictionary defines Salady as:

Quote:
"guy who waits near bouncy castles for little children to attract"

"mummy, there's a creepy man looking at me, dont worry johhny it's just salady"

Only the S-Sense makes "Sense"
After the S-Cross we have the S-Sense from Nexa.

They should name it Swagger and have "Banno Tera" song as its background music as the ad plays! Got Swag?

Now, the Fronx looks better, eh? J/k.. I just hope we don't end up with a "Lodgy"

Btw - swagger seems like a cool name for a car

Two separate variants of the "Fronx" were caught testing in Shimla by Motoroids' reader Umesh Ghai.

Re: Team-BHP Scoop Pics! Maruti YRA / Fronx Hatchback, uncamouflaged!

Three Petrol engines, all of which delivering around 90BHP? What's the differentiation? I expect the 1.2L having 85BHP, and 1.2L Turbo having 110BHP.

Re: Team-BHP Scoop Pics! Maruti YRA / Fronx Hatchback, uncamouflaged!

Good to see that Maruti is trying to reap maximum benefits out of the Nexa hype that it is creating with its premium cars. But is Maruti Suzuki really paying attention to their alloy wheel designs? Alloy wheel designs of almost all their current models (except Ciaz and Ertiga) are pathetic to the core. I was of the opinion that S-Cross wears the worst alloys till seeing this Fronx test mules.

And why are these test mules running with a Black on white TC Registration plates. Shouldn't it be white on Red? (Please correct me if i'm wrong)

I thought the Alloys looked good on the Fronx. S-Cross is a different matter altogether. The Fronx might not have the outrageous designs of its competitors but it looks sleek and upmarket (IMO).

As long as they don't break when commuting, I am OK with it considering the recent alloy related accidents of XUV500.

I dont know if it is me who feels that front design resembles that of a bee, similar to old Honda Jazz. The difference being that headlamps have been inverted

MSIL is raining products. When all the others are having a run for their money they are pushing out exciting products one after the other. Lets wait and watch this spot for the results.
