Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

I am getting fed up with the attitude of Maruti of putting more and more chrome into their every new release. And their design language is not to my taste.
If you like a particular car from the Maruti stable, buy it right now. Because, they will probably mess up it's design with the car's next iteration.

Went to the ACE Kudale showroom in Bhosari, Pune today afternoon. The Ciaz SHVS was standing outside . Took a test drive of about 4-5 kms. The pick up was very good, three of us in the car. Most of the times when I would accelerate the "SHVS" indicator on the dash would light up. The Ciaz has really tall gearing the tacho was just at 2000 rpm, when I was touching the 100 kmph mark. Since the Ertiga SHVS is almost a 100 kilos heavier than the Ciaz, I suppose it will have a short gearing to mask the turbo lag. The test drive and demo car has reached the dealership but awaiting registration formalities. Should be available for test drive starting next week onwards.

Pricing:
MARUTI ERTIGA ZDI+ SHVS is coming to Rs 11,14,990/- on road in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The ZDi is almost 51K cheaper @ Rs 10,64,019/- and the VDi is just over the 10 lacs mark @ Rs 10,00,756/-

Attaching the price list below for everybody's reference. Refer the second page for Ertiga

I have an invite to visit the launch of the new Ertiga at Bangalore on the 28 October. The message is from Pratham motors since I visited them with the enquiry some 2 months ago. Surely Ertiga launch has taken a backseat with the launch of the Baleno. Even the maruti website for Ertiga mentioned that the vehicle is still to be launched in Bangalore.

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

Apparently, most of the dealers in Hyderabad have received more diesel cars compared to Petrol cars. Reason - there were more diesel bookings as compared to petrol given the new SHVS technology!!

The dealers are now pushing customers to go for diesel or petrol ZXi instead of ZXi+, since ZXi+ vehicles have not yet been dispatched from factory.

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

Anyone here who has driven the new SHVS? I did see 2 new Ertiga's on the road today but none of the dealers seem to have a test drive vehicle in Bangalore thought a few did say that they have display vehicles.

I liked this new TVC of Ertiga. Show the strengths of the car and shot very well too.

It's been more than a month since I booked ZXi+ at Varun Motors Nanakramguda, Hyderabad but my vehicle is yet to be delivered. Varun Motors folks say that Maruti has been dispatching mostly diesel vehicles. Anyone else who is sailing in the same boat?

I haven't booked yet, but was keen on booking one after a TD. I have contacted 3 dealers so far (Varun Motors Madinaguda, Varun Motors Kukatpally and Gem Motors Kondapur). All three promised to get back once the Petrol version is available for TD few weeks back, but none have called me yet. Looking at your post, I feel lucky that I didn't go ahead with the booking.

On a related note, Honda has apparently stopped producing Mobilio Petrol.

To think of it - if you are in the market for a car that runs on Petrol and can seat more than 5, there are zilch options!

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

^^ Not really. I can see lots of Ertiga Vxi & Zxi in Pune. Demand for petrol Ertiga is quite a lot in my opinion. Obviously its not like diesel, but i guess ratio will be something like 70:30. Already i spotted 1-2 new petrol Ertiga here in Pune on road. But certainly Maruti pushes for diesel one more, guess they earn much more in diesel compared to petrol one.

Re: Maruti Ertiga Facelift caught at dealer stockyard

Plenty of Petrol Ertiga I have seen and mostly in MH as CNG is an option. During my recent drive to Pune and Aurangabad, I noticed almost equal Petrol and Diesel on roads.

Also, even in my own friends circle, I know 2 folks who own Petrol Ertiga here in Bangalore.

Petrol is not a bad choice at all and the engine is quite good (K14) for City runs and Highway too although Diesel is fun to cruise at highway speeds due to Turbo zone.
