The ad in 'The Hindu' today suggests a base price of 3.16L for the Zen Estilo. Santro better run for cover

The ad for the Estilo shows lots of people walking about wearing boxes, saying that everything and everyone are boxes..... how ironical that the Estilo makes a grand entry at the end... yes... yet ANOTHER box on wheels.

How i miss the old Zen....

Did go and checked that out on Baleno and Swift... Baleno is the best among maruti's on this, but still no where near to europeans.
No offences meant.

I too did check out the new zen last friday. Completely agree with basilmabraham and a few additions. This is a narrow car. Driver has to rub shoulders with the passenger. I really liked the expteriors. It kinda look cute. But interiors are not very impressive. Loads and loads of cheap plastic. No fabric inserts in the door trims. Just plastic. Also fit and finish of the plastic is not that good.

Boot is impressive.

Like my dad used to call it : "Putting a cockroach in ur own food"
On the whole, the ad was well put, save for the car which appeared towards the end.

I would still love the looks of the good old Zen. Estilo does not appeal much. But anytime better than Santro!

Seems to be like that the end of Santro is near if the initial enthusiasm prevails for the coming months.

But I've heard that the Santro LPG is on way by Feb/March '07.

In Cochin, there is still no test-drive cars available at any of the dealers !!!

Santro CNG its going to be... From what i've heard...

Although its cheaper than LPG, i've heard its highly abrasive for the engine... Is it true???
