I believe the HR-V/Vezel is also not coming to India because of issues surrounding localization of this same component. ![]() | |

Team-BHP Support ![]() ![]() | ![]() Design is a mixed bag IMHO! While the front end is clean and much more elegant than the current version, the side profile is definitely even more MPV than hatchback this time around! It might end up looking very awkward especially in the Type-R avatar! |

| ![]() This would look really bland in India against its competition. The new i20, Altroz and ?Polo look sharper. This has made it look more like an MPV. All the images are of the top variant I guess with the Projectors. I bet that the lower variants without the Projectors and the Alloys would really look bad. This look is ideal for an electric car, not for a mass market car which ought to be doing atleast 5000 cars a month in India. |

| ![]() I feel it is a let down in terms of the design language. The Jazz was always a good looking car. The front end reminds me of the Renault Captur from some angles. But why is Honda not launching this car in India? The Jazz has sold in decent numbers. Also if you take it out, then other than Honda City, there isn't any car left in Honda's portfolio that is doing any significant numbers. Are they too planning to shut shop in the near future? |

| ![]() I like how it looks. Is it for sure that they aren't launching this in India? The 1.5 hybrid sounds like it'll be quite a practical and fun choice. And that'll also be its USP over it's rivals. |

| ![]() First thing that strikes me as a current gen owner is that front. Looks hideous. ![]() Some differences I could notice: 1. Interior looks nicer. 2. The superb bottle holder has been added to passenger side as well. That's a pretty simple but functional feature. Helps immensely on those long summer drives. 3. Rear seat seems to get the armrest finally & good they removed the useless front armrest. But they should give a better usable front armrest(sliding one would be preferred like in Amaze). 4. Much better looking alloys. 5. Projectors finally. 6. The dropping front looks weird in body color, more like electric cars. The current model front looks way better. 7. Hybrid engines. How I wish they could get these in India. ![]() Equipment wise looks honda has sorted what was missing all this time although pretty late. But exterior look-wise I feel my current one(specially exclusive edition) looks much better. If at all they release it here am sure they will continue doing it with the current 1.2L iVtec or maybe the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol with some further price bump as next gen i20 seems to be getting the 1.0L turbo from Venue as well. | ![]() The new FIT/JAZZ is a very good indication that Honda has decided to stop taking the knife to its products. For an urban runabout, this new Jazz appears very well suited and looks stylish and futuristic (to me, atleast). It immediately makes cars like the i20 and Baleno appear outdated. In fact, I feel the i20 has not aged well as a design at all. I feel it is a big mistake from Honda not to bring this new Jazz to India, which is an important entry point for new Honda customers. Just talk to any 1st gen Jazz owner, and see how they rave about that car. If backed with a good engine, there could be a sizeable urban market for a very well equipped top spec model at around 12 lakh (hybrid petrol/auto) OTR. My wife and I are now more concerned about making sure our next car is more environment friendly than high performance, which in any case is unusable in a city like BLR. The exterior fit and finish and interiors appear excellent and are more than sufficient for a mass market automobile with no performance pretensions. Interior quality from the pics appears a couple of notches higher than the older model and should ideally be better than Hyundai, if not on par. Digital display, electric parking brake are welcome. "Through a dedicated smartphone app, the user can 1) turn on the air-conditioning unit remotely, 2) receive notification when vehicle doors are not locked and lock the doors remotely and 3) check the location of the parked car," are great features to have. Honda itself seems to not consider itself as a manufacturer of performance automobiles anymore. The Jazz is described thus, with no performance connotations at all. "As a new concept in automobile development, the development team pursued an “emotional value” which cannot be expressed numerically and embodied four dimensions of comfort that enable this vehicle to be better able to support the daily lives of customers. Moreover, the all-new Fit will come in five different types so that customers can select the model that is right for them depending on their lifestyle and life stage. The hybrid version of the all-new Fit will be the first Honda compact car equipped with the 2-motor hybrid system Honda developed to realize both excellent environmental performance and a comfortable driving experience at the same time, and will be introduced to the market as a part of Honda’s e:HEV* models." Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Looks rounded, snub nosed and more conservative than the current model. Would reserve my final comments one I get to see the car in flesh, if & when they launch in India. What's the USP of this model if they launch in India? Hybrid engine? Are magic seats making a comeback? |
