RATAN TATA
coz he thinks for the masses and not consider profits alone. Making of NANO was a step only he could have afforded to take. It is him who has made the dream of not so rich masses of buying a car possible.
cheers to him.!!!!

Sanjay Gandhi, if he wouldnt have changed policies we still would have driving in fiat's and amby's and not maruti which changed our automobile industry.
Ratan Tata who not only thought to give dream car to us but the whole world, he actually did and nano's coming.
CHEERS!!

Very much delayed response, read this thread for first time today.

How can a person who still produces most hated 2 stroke auto be most respected person. Wasnt Bajaj Auto thrown out of some far eastern country because of high pollution of his autos? .The same autos are being still manufactured here. He promised a few years ago that he would produce only 4 stroke autos, what happened? Bajaj Auto must be only manufacturer in the world that is producing 2 strokers more than 50cc.

Helloooo, we're talking about the INDUSTRY right ? Then why so many race car drivers here ?
Here's my list:
1) "Senatore" Giovanni Agnelli - founder - FIAT group, which today owns and produces / has produced some of the finest automobiles around.
2) Andre Citroen - founder - Citroen SA. Innovator par excellence almost an eccentric genius, a huge number of firsts in the industry are credited to him.
3) Dante Giacosa - Prolific Designer of some of the best looking cars ever produced.
4) Ratan N. Tata - For making a billion Indians proud !!
5) Sumant Moolgaonkar - For ably transforming Ratan Tata's dreams to reality.
6) Henry Ford - Last but certainly not the least. He put America (and effectively the world) on wheels.

Its Ratan Tata all the way. He is the Game Changer not just for India but on the International automobile scenario as well. On top of that there is none who can match Ratan Tata for his business ethics.

Raja.
